Checking Things Out [Open to SkC and TC]

Due to recent events Crowstar had been a little paranoid. He wanted to go along on some patrols to places to check things out for himself. He didn't want anyone getting caught up alone. He didn't want another repeat of Breezestar. Granted that happened on the way to the moonstone, he still didn't know who had caused the leader's early demise. Thunderclan could have been responsible for Breezestar's death, and maybe just maybe he could get some information out of them if they passed each other.

This patrol? Well he was leading this one. The black fluffy leader was walking at the front of the group. He felt like he had a lot to prove to his clan. At least a few of his warriors. Some of them seemed that he wouldn't be a good leader, though he had been their deputy for a while. They had seen his leadership before, why would they suddenly not approve now that he had earned his nine lives? Were they still going to that dark place he had dreamed of many moons ago? The leader shook his head clearing his thoughts. He had a patrol to focus on.

Silverstone padded behind her father, Crowstar, with a forced blank expression on her face. She was doing the best she could to stay as mature and un-troublesome as possible, which was extremely hard because let's be real here: it's Silverstone, she's never mature and un-troublesome. The only reason why the silver she-cat had vowed to herself before the patrol took off to behave was because she could sense the leader's paranoid atmosphere and she didn't want to get on his bad side. She wasn't really sure if it was even possible to get on Crowstar's bad side since she was his daughter....though, she never viewed him as her dad and she assumed (and, as rude as it sounds, she hoped) that he didn't view her as a daughter.

Other than her views, assumptions, and hopes, Silverstone only wanted to be on the leader's good side because everyone needed allies, and Crowstar was probably the strongest ally there was in the clan. Though she wasn't necessarily loyal to him, the tabby still had to act like it to prove to Crowstar that she wasn't one to fear of betrayal or lies.

Poppysong took a spot at Crowstar's side, looking up to him hopefully. She was extremely proud of her mentor, a pride surpassing the level of a mother watching her kit earn their warrior name. Crowstar was responsible and strong, a fine warrior, and now a fine leader. As much as the new warrior wanted to cheer and celebrate his new title, there was still the matter of her late father's murder.

There was no denying the anger that Poppysong felt. It spread like wild-fire, starting in the deepest pit of her heart, and soon consumed her entire body. Every inch of her wanted revenge, to find that mystery cat and gut them as they screamed for mercy. The tortoiseshell wasn't one for violence. But this. This was another matter all together. The murder of her beloved father and leader. There were no words to be spoken, just blood to be spilled.

Although now wasn't the time for that.

Matching her pace to the black leader's, she gave him a reassuring smile. He had obviously been on edge since Breezestar's untimely passing. She understood his anxiety, as most cats would, but for a leader to be so transparent with his emotions? That wouldn't look good on him or his clan. They could not afford to look weak. Not so soon after Crowstar's naming.

"Hopefully we don't come across another patrol. I'm not exactly in the fighting mood," the warrior meowed, flicking her fluffy tail back and forth.

A young kit had been playing in a small area near the Nursery when Her thoughts were interrupted by the voice of two, obviously bigger than her, cats. She hadn't been out in a while Because of the sadness that had come over her for 3 moons now.

The death of Her parents many moons ago had hit her like the claws of a leader sinking into the stomach of a kit. Unknowingly painful, yet exciting, almost as if you were being reborn. Well at least that was how she felt when they passed. At least they are watching over me everyday, She thought to herself as she suddenly stopped running around. She shook her head, not meaning to remember such terrible events. I must not remember this now! Now is the time to find out secrets! She thought excitedly to herself.

They had been separated by a small row of bushes, consisting of different sizes as well as heights. Luckily her small, and, nimble body could fit through the close branches of the bushes. Whom if they scraped you could cause bleeding. After quite a few seconds, she made it out of the maze which was the bushes branches and leaves, and poked her head out on the other side. She wasn't necessarily doing this so she could see, because she is blind, she was doing this so she could get a clear picture in her head of them talking. For she had never met either of this warriors and didn't know even what her leader looked like! She listened to what they were saying, while staying every so still and quiet.

Sorry to say this, but the Fallen Oak is quite far away from RiverClan's nursery ( I'm assuming you're roleplaying your newest character, Ivorykit.)

This is a patrol topic for SkyClan warriors and apprentices, not kits. Feel free to make a topic about your kit venturing out into their clan's territory as a little adventure, but please refrain from joining patrol topics that do not belong to your cat's clan.
