Poppypaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!" Crowflight said.

Poppypaw made her way out of the apprentice den. On any normal occasion, Poppypaw would be ecstatic to be earning her name, but the death of her dear father had put her in a solemn mood. She approached the deputy, looking up at him and taking a seat. Even if she was in mourning, she knew she had to fulfill her duty. It was the least she could do for Breezestar.

"Today we are gather to make another apprentice a warrior." He said. "Poppypaw please step forward."

Poppypaw gave a quick nod and stepped forward.

"I, Crowflight, deputy of Skyclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Poppypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Crowflight asked.

"I do," Poppypaw mewed.

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. Poppypaw, from now on you will be known as Poppysong, for your kindness. We welcome you as a full warrior of Skyclan," Crowflight jumped down to greet his new warrior.
