Elkpaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!" Crowflight called out.

Elkpaw padded out of the apprentices den and into the clearing, unaware that it was his own warrior ceremony.

"Today we are gather to make an apprentice a warrior. Elkpaw please step forward." The deputy said.

Snowstorm's ears perked. She knew her apprentice was going to be a warrior.

Elkpaw's ears flinched when he heard his name. He stepped forward, hoping his legs wouldn't fall beneath him.

"I, Crowflight, deputy of Skyclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in her turn. Elkpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" The Deputy asked.

"I do" he said, mustering as much confidence as he could.

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. Elkpaw, from now on you will be known as Elkheart, kindness, and loyalty to your clan. We welcome you as a full warrior of Skyclan," Crowflight jumped down to greet his new warrior.

Elkheart purred and felt pride fill every inch of his body. I'm finally a warrior! he thought. He padded forward and licked Crowflight's shoulder in respect.

Pebblethorn cheered for her close friend with the clan. "Elkheart! Elkheart!" She chanted.
