Pinepaw's Warrior Ceremony

Crowflight called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!"

Pinepaw trotted slowly out of the apprentice's den. It felt so strange to be here, finally, after what felt like moons of waiting. He'd anticipated this moment since kithood, but since witnessing what happened to his denmate that fateful night the feeling was... deadened. Blackpaw should have been here too. He hadn't even been that close to the tom. His only consolation was that, once he became a warrior, he would be free to track down the rogue and make him pay.

Jaypaw padded out of the apprentices den and sat down.

"Today we are gather to make an apprentice a warrior. Pinepaw please step forward." The deputy said.

The chocolate tabby did as told, moving forward before inclining his head to gaze at the deputy.

"I, Crowflight, deputy of Skyclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in her turn. Pinepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" The Deputy asked.

"I do," he said with unwavering certainty.

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. Pinepaw, from now on you will be known as Pineye, for your insight. We welcome you as a full warrior of Skyclan," Crowflight jumped down to greet his new warrior.
