This wasn't Magpiewing's first apprentice. No. But it was his first time having two at once. The black warrior shuffled in his spot, licking down the white furs that stuck out on his chest against his dark fur. It was high time that Webpaw learned a thing or two about hunting, and the mentor couldn't contain his excitement and anxiety. Hopefully he could train this tom as well as his last apprentice.

Webpaw's whiskers twitched as a mild breeze hit them, he remembered Smokestorm's instructions, to learn hunting but, ignore the StarClan lore. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't excited about the patrol.

He nodded and smiled, he was taller than most of the apprentices and hoped that Magpiewing could help him take advantage of his longer legs. The tom stretched, arching his back before straightening out again.

Magpiewing let out a large breath before turning out and leading the way into the territory. "We'll be marking the borders today," he meowed, doing his best to keep a solid pace.

Webpaw fell into step beside his mentor, scenting the air for anything unusual. His ears pricked and alert. He took many things he learned from Mudfoot's patrol, perhaps he could figure out which border they we going to first. He'd like to show his mentor what he knew already.
