Brooding Mistkit

Mistkit slipped out of the nursery, looking around to make sure no one saw her. It wasn't like she was up to something, but rather, she didn't want to have to socialize. That was the worst. Talking to another cat? What a terrible way to pass the time! Mistkit turned her nose up at the thought. She slinked to her private nook behind the nursery, settling down in the tiny space. From there she could see a good portion of camp, though she was mostly hidden. Her icy blue eyes peered out from the shadows that the nursery cast, a stormy look turning her expression dark.

Webpaw slipped out of the apprentice den, a bitter expression on his face. He felt the strange feeling of his new forming scar that Viperpaw had given him, his tail low as he sat in the clearing.

Eaglepaw had spotted both her friends Webpaw and Mistkit, she looked at Webpaw her eyes sweet. She padded over to him and licked his forhead "Are you ok?" she asked

Mistkit peered out at Webpaw, curiosity almost convincing her to approach him. What was that new mark that scarred him? He looked rather upset... What could have happened? Suddenly Eaglepaw appeared, and Mistkit's curiosity immediately vanished. Eaglepaw. She thought bitterly, turning her nose away. No way was she talking to her.

Webpaw noticed the kit and was puzzled when she turned away as Eaglepaw approached him. "I'm fine Eaglepaw..." He muttered and stretched, casting a hidden glance at Mistkit.

Eaglepaw looked over at Mistkit, she looked back at Webpaw "She doesn't like me" she mewed lowering her head. She looked back up and Webpaw and studied him for a long second, she noticed the scar on his nose she licked his muzzle and sat down with him

Briarkit came bouncing out of the nursery in a friendly mood, which is rare for Briarkit

Eaglepaw looked at Briarkit with a questioning look Why is Briarkit so happy? she asked herself silently "Hey Briarkit" she mewed trying not to sound with question

Mistkit curled tighter into a ball, shivering slightly at the cold leaf-bare wind.

Eaglepaw really wanted to become a better sister to Mistkit, she loved her but she never loved her back was it that she was adopted? She didn't know to be honest she trotted over her playful face was gone but it had a gentle look on it. She sat down next to Mistkit and licked her ear "Why don't you like me?" she asked her voice low and sweet

Mistkit flinched at Eaglepaw's tongue, turning to face her 'sister'. What she do that for? She thought bitterly. "Why can't you just leave me alone?" she snapped, getting to her paws and stalking away. Why was it that she could never be left in peace? There was always some cat bothering her!

Eaglepaw's head turned down "No" she mewed this time her head facing up and her voice was more bold"Answer me, why do you not like me" she repeated

Mistkit spun around, glaring at Eaglepaw. "You want to know why I don't like you?" she spat angrily. "Just take a look at what you're doing now! All I wanted was to be left in peace!" she hissed. Tail lashing, the pale she kit bounded into the nursery. Maybe here at least she was slightly more sheltered, but there were so many kits here...

Webpaw sighed and watched the kit leave, he padded after her and stood at the entrance. "Mistkit? Could you come out for a moment? I know a quiet place if you'd like?" He asked, not speaking to her like a kit but, instead as an equal.

Eaglepaw looked down and slowly growled "Ya well if that's what you want I'll make sure to not talk to you again" she murmured walking off to were she had been sitting with Webpaw, except he wasn't there he was talking to Mistkit.
