Leader's Orders! (Dawn Patrol)

Fennelcloud yawned as she walked out of the den to see almost the whole patrol ready to go. As her eyes focused, she saw that she was pretty much the only one that wasn't there, sending a pang of guilt through her, but it didn't last long. It was quickly replaced by her constant worry for her father. All of this was so drastic. She didn't know what to think about it. She couldn't understand. Sure there were a few warriors that had lost their loyalty, but the whole clan shouldn't be punished for that. Was the problem really that bad to have exiled Shatteredsoul for killing a rogue? Especially if they were on Shadowclan's territory, that wasn't breaking the code. If anything, Shatteredsoul did exactly what Thrushstar would have done.

Feeling completely exhausted from waking up from her nap, she padded to the group and nodded towards everything before her eyes rested on Mudfoot. She studied the young captain for a moment before giving a small smile. "Greetings, Mudfoot and all of you. Sorry to keep you waiting. I haven't really been myself lately..." She looked up at the sky to see the bright colors of dawn painting over the stars. She hated dawn patrols. That meant they had to stay up so much later than everyone else when all she wanted to do was sleep.

Mudfoot gave a sigh of relief when he saw Fennelcloud. We can finally go! He gave a small purr and turned to Eaglepaw who looked eager to join the patrol. Could he say no? But she should have her own patrol... He didn't want to be rude though... "I'm sorry Eaglepaw, we should stick with the amount of cats we have." A twinge of guilt clawed at his belly but he needed to follow Thrushstar's orders, even if that meant turning down an apprentice.

"Okay, now that we're all here, lets get moving." He meowed over the group of cats. Eaglepaw and Amberpaw would just have to chat later. Besides, his patrol was already starting late. "As most of you know, Thrushstar has assigned my patrol to make sure nothing weird is going on around the borders." With a flick of his tail, the tom started padding out of the camp. Slowing the pace a little, he trotted next to Fennelcloud. "It's okay that you were a little late, everyone hasn't been their selves lately." Mudfoot said with a soft smile, trying to be optimistic.

"Alright Mudfoot, should we leave now?" Amberpaw questioned with excitement.

Littlepaw nodded eagerly, though she hadn't heard what he said to Fennelcloud and actually didn't quite care. She was always like that -- rude and cruel to anyone she wasn't close to. She always tried to make a good first impression unless she was in a bad mood, but she was too exited about the patrol.

Barkpaw wasn't excited about the patrol, since he had already gone to a few. He just padded along, and hoped the patrol would end soon enough.
