Nightpaw's Assessment

"Nightpaw get up. It's time for your assessment!" Thrushstar said, poking his head into the apprentice's den.

OOC: this will be short, sweet and to the point I promise

Nightpaw quickly got up, no yawning, no stretching. "Okay, I'm ready to go, Thrushstar." he said.

"Good." Without saying anything else, Thrushstar padded out of the camp and into the territory, stopping right in the middle and turning to Nightpaw. "This is how this will work. You will have until the sun rises to catch as much prey as you can. You can go anywhere in the territory you please, but Carrionplace is, of course, off limits. You will be doing this on your own, so do the best you can and we will see how this goes after you're done." He paused, taking a deep breath. "Ready? Go."

OOC: So we can do this one of two ways: you can go ahead and post your entire assessment in one post (so all of your hunting attempts are together) or we can take turns between each attempt. Either way, the goal is to catch at least 3 pieces of prey (obviously throw a miss or two in there unless you want him to be fantastic at hunting). It is up to you how you want to proceed~ One's just much quicker than the other.

OOC: First option it is.

IC: Nightpaw nodded. He walked around the territory, smelling the air for prey. He caught a scent of rabbit. He went into a hunters crouch and crept slowly along the scent trail. After a bit, he found the rabbit. He pounced. It went running. He chased it all the way to the Thunderpath. It crossed the thunderpath, into ThunderClan territory. He spat as he caught another scent of rabbit. He looked back to see it. This time, he caught it. He purred with delight as he buried it in the snow and soil.

Then, he caught a scent of squirrel. After a few moments, he saw it huddled next to it's burrow. He silently crept up to the sleeping squirrel. He clawed it, and killed it. He buried that. He looked up and saw the moon falling, and the firey-orange sky of dawn slowly showing. He had to hurry up and catch that last piece of prey.

He saw a lizard on a log. He was brain dead, and raced towards it. It woke up and tried to run, but he killed it by then. He was relieved when dawn came when he killed the prey. He walked back to the middle of he territory, digging out his rabbit and squirrel along the way.

OOC: wait so since Night is uh... leaving, should this even continue?
