A Fractured and Shattered Family (Closed)

"Come now, Fracturedkit, it's time to meet your older brother," meowed Frostwhisper as she looked behind her to her daughter. The white she-cat then padded out of the nursery and into the camp, where she sat down in a quiet spot away from the other clan members. She curled her fluffy tail around Fracturedkit and smiled as she saw Shatteredpaw approach. "Hello, my son."

The white and black-marked tom was a bit surprised when he had been told his mother gave birth to a second litter. Shatteredpaw hadn't even met his father and Frostwhisper was seeing him again. To be honest, the apprentice was quite nervous about meeting his little sister. What if she doesn't like me? What if she is a little brat? Shatteredpaw tried to clear his mind of his thoughts as he exited the apprentice's den and found his mother sitting at a solitary part of the camp. His chilling, ice-cold blue eyes landed on a heap of black and white fluff hidden by Frostwhisper's tail. The runt sat down in front of his mother and bent down, his little black nose sniffing at the kit. He was struck at how identical to him she looked. She stole my looks...hopefully she doesn't steal my mother away from me, he thought, only half joking.

Fracturedkit was nervous as her mother guided her out."but ...m..momma w..what if he ...d..doesn't like me"She asked nervously looking at her before her blueish violet eyes looked at her older brother as he came overn she was nervous and obviously a bit shy. She looked at him somewhat hiding behind her mother's tail.

"Don't worry sweetheart, he'll love you," Frostwhisper said to Fracturedkit. The queen watched as Shatteredpaw sniffed her youngest child. She knew he wasn't going to say anything because he never talked. "Don't be shy, you two," she purred in her usual soft voice. "You guys are family."

Fracturedkit seemed to be more nervous than he was. Shatteredpaw smiled at the shy she-cat and purred, showing her that he wasn't someone to be scared of. I guess she's not a selfish brat after all, Shatteredpaw thought happily. He looked at Frostwhisper, then walked away and grabbed a mossball from the nursery before returning to the two. He lightly kicked it toward Fracturedkit, hoping that she would pick up the idea that he was offering to play with her.

Fracturedkit blinked then nodded slowly"i..i..hope so"she mewrd quietly before blinking when Shatteredpaw sniffed her. She blinjed and relaxed some."h..hi"she mewed quietly before he wrmt off. She was quiet for a moment watching as he went off and then tossed a mossball at her. Instantly she picked up on the idea and she smiled some and she batted it back at him quietly.
