Ravenpaw's Assessment(closed for Toy)

Minnowtail poked her head into the apprentices "den" and gently proded her apprentice. "Ravenpaw come on get up, time for your assessment." The silver tabby meowed. She went over to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a small, unfortunately stringy, vole and waited for Ravenpaw to come out of the den.

"Hi, Minnowtail. I can't wait!" He purred.

OOC: Shortness is horrible.

OOC:  that's fine. This is before she dies so she can actually finish his training

IC: Minnowtail purred. "Well eat up then and we can get started. Ill be doing a similar assessment to the one I gave to Petalfern, but different at the same time. So if you want to get started we have to start now!" She meowed her voice full of enthusiasm.

OOC: "Bye, Minnowtail."

IC: He quickly gobbled up a stringy vole, then followed his soon to be dead mentor out of the camp. "What first? I'm ready when you are." He unsheathed his claws and waited for his mentor to decide.

"Hmm. How's your climbing? I want to see your climbing first, try that pine tree over there." Minnowtail motions with her tail at the bid pine tree. "Afterwards I want you to go catch two squirrels, one thrush and two mice then meet me back at Tall Oak to complete your assessment with fighting." She purred and waited for her apprentice to climb.

He jumped while his sharp claws sank into the soothing feeling of the pine. A cold breeze carried pine scent, with the faint smell of foxes. He forced himself not to look down, and he felt unnaturally comfortable in the canopy of the leafless tree. Once he reached the top, he glanced down, purring quietly. "The view is awesome up here!" He sprang out of a shaky branch, digging his talon-like nails into the bark. He quickly climbed down. He nodded randomly to his mentor. Ravenpaw ran off, tasting the bittersweet air for and prey.

A vole. He could only smell one scrawny vole. That wouldn't even feed a kit. A wing flapped above him and he caught it in the corner of his eye. A thrush? Yes! He silently crawled up to it, pecking little seeds and leaves on the frozen ground. He pounced, winning a successful catch. He buried it underneath a safe pile of leaves hidden wisely in a hole in an oak tree. But he sprang off again, only this time scenting the air for mice or squirrels.

After much search, he smelled a trail leading to a few squirrels. Hibernating. I am just so lucky today. StarClan wants me as a warrior. He purred silently at the thought. He lunged for one's neck, forcefully killing it, but waking the other one. It was frigtened and scurried away, leaving the tom disappointed.

Minnowtail padded through the forest, taking her time. Today was a little sunny but the sky was mostly filled with clouds. The forest was full of damp scents, that held the faint scent of cats, prey, and foxes.. The silver tabby hissed quietly, thinking of her poor brother Goldenflame, and how those stupid foxes ripped him to pieces. Thankfully she had took her revenge and killed one of the Fox kits. She stopped at the Tall Oak and awaited her apprentice. Little did she know was that she'd be seeing her brother real soon.

Ravenpaw again buried his delicious prey and darted off to find more and more food. If he kept that up, they'd never grow hungry. He scented a squirrel, possibly the one he just received. He wasn't so sure of how much he would be able to give to Minnowtail, but he knew it would be long before he would be able to rest. Allowing the thoughts to free of his mind, he trotted forward and unexpectedly crouched down. He noticed that same squirrel from the tree. It must've noticed him though, since it scurried up a tree. With a sigh, he went off to find another mouse. It was several minutes before he decided to change gears and find the other squirrel.

He ever so silently crept around, having scented another nearby squirrel. He jumped and unintentionally killed a mouse instead... But that was still great! He buried it and decided to start digging up all his prey. Hopefully he would be able to get a mouse and a squirrel.

Minnowtail contemplated what fighting moves she would have Ravenpaw use. Hmm.. how about Frot Paw Blow and Front Paw Strike and.... One more hmm.. Oh I know the last one is Tail Yank on me. Tee now once Ravenpaw comes back he'll be able to complete his training and become a warrior. The silver tabby thought flicking her tail.
