Father Daughter Bonding Time (Closed for Mistlechu)

Cobrapaw woke up quietly that morning and stretched a bit. To her her ever since they made tetemporary camp in the stony hallows it had been a little uncomfortable for her and it was a little hard for her to sleep but she never complained. Quietly the bengal apprentice padded out of where the apprentices slept for the meantime and shook her fur quietly before blinking her beight goldish eyes. She sat for a moment grooming herself rather quickly before a thought crossed her mind. She hadnt much hung out with her father since she was a little kit. She remembered she used to try and do everything he did, and she looked up to him. She hadnt hang out much because of training but she knew that nothing was going on today so she padded to the wareiors sleeping area and she looked for the familiar pelt of her father before she gently poked him with her paw"dad..."she paused poking him with her paw quietly"wake up dad"

Viperfang was curled up in a rather moss bare nest, making do with whatever was available in the beginning of Leafbare. It was barely tolerable due to the thick stone walls offering protection, but it lacked the warmth or comfort for him to sleep deeply like he would in the past. Also the gaping holes on either side of the camp was unsettling. So when Cobrapaw, his daughter who uncannily resembled him, nudged him awake, he was up within seconds. "Cobrapaw? Is something wrong? Is there an attack?" His green eyes opened wide as he yawned, flitting over camp to make sure everyone was accounted for. A habit he picked up after losing some of his litter.

Cobrapaw blinked and set her paw down quietly before she responded"no the camps safe dad.."She mewed then said"i...um just wanted to ask if we could hang out today like we used to.."She mewed quietly her golden yellow eyes looking to her father as he glancedover the camp breifly.

"Oh. Of course." Viperfang replied, though a little hesitant, not from a lack of desire to spend time with her, no, it was the realisation that yes, he'd been so busy trying to keep everything together in camp he'd forgotten about his children. Shaking the last his bleariness, the spotted tom rose from where he sat. A few quick stretches and he was ready to go.

He lead her outside their make shift camp, squeezing through the reinforced crack to reach the clearing outside. He turned to his daughter, tail twitch with anticipation. "Well, the camp could always do with more food. First one to catch something gets first pick at the pile later?"

Cobrapaw smiled a little when he agreed and she flicked her tail top smiling. She was quiet as she waited for him to finish his stretches before the spotted apprentice followed her father outside of camp.

ONce outside camp she heard Viperfang's suggestion and she nodded smiling"sounds good"She mewed flicking her tail.

"You'll have to be quick." The tom teased, nudging his daughter lightly before leaping in front of her and turning to face her. His whiskers twitched as he finished. "I'm not going easy on you, Cobrapaw. Show me what Bluesong's taught you." And he was off, leaping into the bushes though his ears were still listening for his daughter's presence. He wouldn't stray too far from her, not with the threat of predators lurking about.

Cobrapaw blinked and smiled a bit before she lifted her head a bit"I wouldn't expect it any other way dad"She mewed and watched him leap off into a bush. Quietly the apprentice perked her ears and started to followafter keeping all her senses alert for sounds, smells, and sight of prey.

Viperfang, once he was out of Cobrapaw's immediate line of sight,  stuck to the bushes. He slinked around, taking advantage of his colouring to keep hidden as he wander through the prickly bushes until he found his quarry. It was a dove, feasting on what little seeds remained, and the perfect catch for a warrior on the prowl. He pressed himself low to the ground, and pounced.

Within seconds the bird's neck was snapped, and it dead. It was done, or so he thought.

Behind him was a sinister growl, one that had become very familiar these past few weeks while living without a proper camp. The spotted tom twisted around, and yowled into the bushes where his daughter was hopefully nearby. "Cobrapaw, run!" The warrior dropped the dove behind him and fled, leaping into the trees with a few easy leaps. His green eyes however scanned the bushes for any sign of his daughter. "Cobrapaw!"

Cobrapaw had took off in one direction where she had caught a masly mouse. She flicked her ears hearing her father and picking the skinny mouse up she ran to her fathers direction."Whats wrong dad"she mewed.

"Get up a tree!" Viperfang hissed from his place up on the tree, his green eyes flitting nervously amongst the bushes for any signs of the fox. His daughter looked so small compared to the fox, he wouldn't, couldn't risk her life. He carefully crept down, pulling her towards him with a tug of her scruff with his jaws. "C'mon, up you get." He mumbled through her fur.

Cobrapaw blinked when he grabbed her scruff she scrambled up the tree next to her father nlinking in confusion. The apprentice looked to her father with golden yellow eyes"dad whats wrong?"she asked.
