Twistedpaw and Midnightpaw's assessments

Midnightpaw sniffed around for more prey.She could smell Twistedpaw and stayed well away from her.Soon,she caught the smell of thrush.She followed the smell all the way to a tree. Confused,she looked around for it. Suddenly,there was a slight movement and she saw it.Quickly,knowing she was up wind, she creeped up on it and killed at with a bite to the neck. She carried the thrush to where the 2 voles were and buried it.

Jaybird purred at the catch by Midnightpaw as he lurked in the shadows.

Midnightpaw sniffed the air,not surprised that she couldnt smell anything. She sat down and,being still,looked for and sudden movements in the bushes. Very soon,Midnightpaw could sight of a mouse dartig out of the bushes and stopping in the middle of 2 trees.Quietly,she got up and snuck around to where the mouse stood.When she was about a yard away,she pounced, capturing the moiuse between her paws.Midnihgtpaw killed it then buried it with the other prey she had caught.

Twistedpaw took a few pawsteps then smelled more prey. she ran toward the scent, and stopped when it became stronger. she quickly recognized the scent as mouse, then killed with a quick slice of her claws. She ran back, buried it with the rest of her prey, and continues forward, hoping for more prey.

The sun was setting in the horizon.....

Midnightpaw glanced up at the sun,which was just over the horizon.Sighing,Midnightpaw padded back to where she buried her catches.

Twistedpaw relized there would most likey be no more prey, so she padded back to where she buried her prey

Jaybird smiled at their progress and padded to camp to meet them.

Midnightpaw grabbed all the prey she caught,barely able to move her mouth with their tails anf fur in her mouth.She silently headed back to camp.

Twistedpaw scooped up her prey and ran back to camp, looking arouund for jaybird

Jaybird was standing next to the fresh kill pile,which was shading by the manly pine trees and made a small silhouette against the sunset. He stared at the apprentices and waited to see their catches.

Midnightpaw entered camp and headed towards the fresh-kill pile.

Jaybird stared at her catches. "Excellent Job Midnightpaw,you pass."

Midnightpaw dropped her kills on the fresh-kill pile. "Thank you Jaybird." she said,then padded away towards the apprentices den.

Right behind midnight, Twistedpaw dropped all of her fresh kill into the pile, then looked up at Jaybird.
