Twistedpaw and Midnightpaw's assessments

Jaybird padded into the apprentices den,calling for the two apprentices.

"Yeah, Jaybird?" Twistedpaw called back to her mentor.

"It is time for your assessment!" he purred. "Where is Midnightpaw?"

"Right here,"Midnightpaw said,padding up beside Twistedpaw.

"Great! Guess what today is?" He meowed. "Your assessments!"

finally...she thought,then took it back,knowing with without all the days of being a apprentice she wouldnt be a great Shadowclan member

"Great!"Midnightpaw said.

Twistedpaw was nervous, but was happy this day had finnaly come.

"Ok,I will be watching you two." Jaybird meowed. "Try to catch as much prey as you can by sunset."

Midnightpaw ran into the forest,keeping her eyes on the forest in front of her,looking for the slightest sign of prey.

Twistedpaw nodded, then set out into the forest.

She lifted her head, and soon recognized the scent. Mouse. She ran off toward the scent, and soon spotted the mouse. She crouched into her hunting position and crawled foward slowley. She soon pounced on the mouse, killing it easily. She dug a hole and buried the mouse, she would come back for it later.

Jaybird smiled at the impressive catch and waited for her next one before going to check out Midnightpaw.

Midnightpaw growled softly in aggrivation. She hasnt seen even a sign of prey ever sinse she walked into the forest.

Maybe I`m not looking hard enough.. Midnightpaw thought to herself.

Finally,she saw movement in a near by bush,and darted silently towards the movement.When she was close enougth to see what it was,she was surprised to see that it was 2 voles. She killed the one closest to her,buried it,and went in persuit of the other one,knowing that it would be nothing but luck if she caught it.

Twistedpaw lifted her head again for any sign of prey, and soon scented a vole. She took a few small footsteps before she spotted it. She slowley crawled toward it and then pounced, she raked it with her claws a few times before it gave up. She carried it in her mouth toward where she had buried the mouse, and buried it with the mouse.

Midnightpaw soon lost sight of the vole and looked around for more prey.She soon cought sight another vole and,before it could scent her,pounced at it,killing it with a swipe to the neck.

Twistedpaw Couldn't smell any prey, so she tried a little harder, soon smelling raven. She could see the small bird perched on a tree trunk. Twistedpaw crouched low to the ground, and before the bird could turn around she pounced, killing it with a small swipe of her claws. She turned around to bury it with the rest of her prey. She was hungry, and was tempted to eat it, but left the prey there, knowing there were others in her clan that needed to be fed first.
