The Rush and The Trout (closed for Icestorm)

Quietly Rushpaw left for the River. She wanted to get away from the chaos from her clan and Windclan. With a sigh she came and stopped near the river and slowly sat down quietly watching the somewhat ice cold water rush by. Soon enough it would freeze over but it hasn't yet. Quietly she looked around before she flicked and muddy brown ear hearing pawsteps and she tensed and stood her tail flicking almost lashing back and forth "who's there?!"

Troutstep walked onto the River bank thinking he was alone. But when he heard the voice his heart jumped. "Oh, it's me Rushpaw." He said kindly.

Rushpaw blinked then relaxed some hearing it was her clanmates and friend Troutstep. She smiled some " oh hey Troutstep " She mewed.

"Hello Rushpaw. Fancy seeing you here." He smiled and sat down near the water's edge. The tom put a paw on the frozen water, but when he pressed down it instantly gave way. "Well, I guess it's not cold enough to go ice fishing." He said with a sigh.

Rushpaw smiled " id say the same to you " She mewed and sat down again curling her tail over her paws. After watching him she mewed"it seems not yet...it sounds like fun to ice fish I've never really done it before " She mewed smiling some.

"It's really fun. But you have to be careful, if you fall in the water your probably a goner." He looked over towards the she cat. "So what are you doing around here? Is the camp to crowded for ya?" He gave a small laugh.

"Yeah....can is way to crowded....I needed to get some space away from that " Rushpaw mewed putting emphasis on the word way. She looked at Troutstep and smiled a bit " what about you?" She asked.

"Same, I guess. And I was...Kinda, looking for someone to talk to." He sputtered the last few words out.

"Oh ok well you can talk with me " Rushpaw mewed smiling some.

Troutstep pawed at the cold water, moving some ice around. "Everything going on, it's to much. WindClan sharing our territory, meanwhile RiverClan is sick. And I...I did something StarClan will never forgive me for." He gave a hiss at the end, for adding the last part.

Rushpaw listened before she blinked at his last sentence what do you mean....what did you do?"She asked.

"It's, not..." His voice trailed off. Can I trust her to keep a secret? If she truly has feelings for me... "I...I killed a ThunderClan cat." Troutstep looked at the ground.

Ic: Rushpaw blinked hearing what Troutstep said then after a moment she said"i won't tell anyone I promise " Rushpaw mewed.

"Ya well, it's kinda hard to trust cats anymore." He sighed and looked towards the sky.

"You can trust me Troutstep like I said we are friends and I wouldn't tell anyone your secret " She mewed smiling a tiny bit.
