Trout's new pleasure [closed]

Troutpaw had been given the day off from training, for which he was already in a bad mood. What was the point in taking time away from training? He was ready to be a warrior, and didn't want to waste any time in making that happen. He would be able to put behind him the other childish apprentices and do more so as he pleased. In his grumpy mood, he considered going out to hunt with only his friend Rainpaw, but alas the other apprentice couldn't be found. He resigned himself to partaking in the small enjoyment of basking in the sun. So he had walked to Sunningrocks, and lay there watching the river churn by.

Forestpaw wandered around Sunningrocks in search of prey. She'd been unlucky so far. She had tried catching a Wood Pigeon, but missed. She did the same thing with a squirrel. She had been getting frustrated, so she'd started patroling around the border of Riverclan near Sunningrocks. She was about to pass right by, because there was not the slightest smell of prey, when a flicker of movement caught her eye. She looked over and saw a lazy riverclan apprentice laying on one of the larger rocks at Sunningrocks. She narrowed her multicolored eyes with an angry gaze and stared at the Apprentice.

(OOC: idk why she so mad but oh well XD)

Troutpaw stared at the river, increasingly frustrated with his lack of anything useful to do for the day. Occasionally he would look around at his surroundings, hoping to find something interesting to make of his time. He had wondered if a Riverclan patrol might go by, and he might possible talk them into allowing him to join. On one such occasion of looking off, he realized he was being stared at. Now, not that Trout spent that much time trying to get to know other cats, but he was sure this was not one from his own clan. The body showed off that it was clearly a Thunderclan cat. And so close to his border. 'Perhaps', he thought.

So he stood, already aggressively showing his stance. "What do you think you're doing Thunderclanner? I don't believe you deserve to be so close to this side of the border."

"Excuse me I'm not on Your Territory. No need to get worked up about this. I bet your clan patrols you border very close to ours and it's fine, we are just doing our duty. Now if you want to fight i will defend me clan thank you very much" She said this calmly, but she narrowed her eyes and her tone got a bit angry as she went on. Who did this cat think he was? Trying to accuse her of trespassing while she was on her own territory! She stood her ground, ready to attack at any moment.

Troutpaw walked closer, and then arched his back as he looked at the apprentice on his border. "It wouldn't be the first time your clan has forgotten where it's border lies her on Sunningrocks though would it?", he said very smugly. Trout was quite sure of himself that if he attacked this apprentice, he wouldn't find himself in much trouble. He would just have to be careful not to hurt her too much. And when they questioned his motives, would it be that hard for Riverclan leaders to believe that this apprentice had overstepped her bounds, even if she claimed she hadn't. There was no one else here to dispute.

As he watched the apprentice facing him, he knew that she was ready to spring for attack at any moment. But if he jumped first he would have the upper hand. No matter how prepared she was to launch herself at him if he crossed the border, he didn't think she would expect him to outright cross himself and attack her first there. He wanted to fight so bad, to have a chance to battle with another c
at for real. ..well, now or never he decided.

Forestpaw was about to attack at the moment he would cross the border, but she felt winded as she was pushed to the ground. What was this cat doing? Who was he to attack a cat that was on her own territory? She growled viciously, but as much as she tried she couldn't get up.

Forestpaw is pinned.

Troutpaw felt his hold on the cat beneath him begin to wane and knew she would be out from underneath him on her own soon enough. As he held her down and attacked, he realized how much more satisfying this was than a hunt. To fight another cat and hold their life in your paws. This was a power he wanted to get used to. But for now, Trout knew he had to let go and approach with a new attack before she could regain her bearings. He moved off of her and struck her with his paw.
