This House is Not a Home (But It'll Do for Now) [Takeover Topic]

Falconstar would not lead his clan here if there was much other choice. However, the dogs had proved to be formidable foe, and they were not yet ready to overtake them. They would be forced to live elsewhere, and at least for now, the wet territory of RiverClan would have to do. The leader did not want this to be a permanent haven, but they would not beg for shelter. RiverClan would not miss this part when they had other parts to live on. If they did, then WindClan was not afraid to fight. Calmly, Falconstar waited for any sign of a patrol, a group who may try to resist them, with Eaglethorn hissing quietly with the rest of the group.

Leafsnap, her front leg having healed enough to fight, walk and hunt, padding behind him. The she-cat glanced around. This may not be the best choice. How can we survive here? We haven't anywhere here without... Riverclan The she-cat continued to look around, her mute daughter Glidingpaw far behind.

Silverdapple followed her leader closely, wary of this awful wet place. Who could want their paws wet in leaf-bare? Shaking her dainty feet in disgust she pressed on.

Emberleaf tagged along at the back of the group. He felt empty without herbs to carry along to battle. He figured he could help somehow...like, maybe fight off an apprentice or two. Rumor had spread that Riverclan was sick, but he wasn't sure weather to believe that or not. It didn't matter if Riverclan was healthy, ill or dead for all he cared. He was sure that Windclan was going to end up with this territory.

Goldenpool padded beside Silverdapple. Her head was low. She disliked the idea of taking another clan's territory. But she frowned. It was for her clan. She had to. She pressed her fur against her friends and looked up.
"You ready," she whispered in her ear.

Silverdapple nodded quietly, wary to speak so deep in enemy territory. Keenly aware of her bright Silver and white pelt, especially her thick white tail. I stand out too much in Leaf-fall, in these withered reeds. Leaf-bare with snow is so much better! She sighed and kept trekking.

Blizzardpaw padded after the two warriors. He was lucky enough not to get hurt to bad by the dogs, luckily he managed to stay away from its teeth and claws. Although he did have quite a lot of scratches he was glad that his crush Witherpaw hadn't gotten hurt at all. He was glad that she stayed with Leafsnap and the kits to protect them. He trudged on shaking his pelt once in a while from the cold.

Lightfoot followed the clan, keeping pace at Emberleaf's side. He knew the medicine cats were both injured, and he just hoped that both would be able to keep safe during the chaos that might break out. He glanced up at the head of the group, Falconstar, and vaguely wondered if Riverclan would even show up to contest them. Lightfoot just kept his thoughts focused on what they would have to do. It's nothing personal. They won't get hurt if they don't show up.

Icestorm, Cedarfur and Smokepelt mixed in with their clan. All 3 of the tom's fur was bristling, teeth bared. Ha, We'll show those RiverClan scraps what WindClan is made of. Some might think they were out for blood. But actually, they were out for redemption.

Witherpaw slunk behind the rest. She found it was unnecessary that they had to take over someone else's territory. How would they feel if RiverClan took over their territory? Falconstar would probably go insane! She shuddered at how she thought Fishstar would react go their ambush.

Spiderpaw shivered in the background, anxious beyond belief. The ground felt awful beneath her paws, it was far too wet, and little streams would interrupt her running if she tried. This territory was made solely for Riverclan, how would they expect to live here? She slowly padded over to Cedarfur, hoping for some sort of assurance, but he was puffed up and scary. The tiny apprentice stepped back and bit her tongue, leaving to stand in some open place.

Blizzardpaw pressed against Witherpaw and gave her a comforting lick on the ear, since she seemed so tense. He padded side by side with her in the cold leaf-bare air.

OoC: Alright RiverClan, you're up. Cats can show up (as long as they're healthy), or not. We can fight, or RiverClan can concede.

Ashcloud had been wandering around the territory, looking to hunt fish that had stayed around before the cold set in. His search was stopped by a scent he actually didn't mind, but was strong enough to alarm him. Peering through a clump of reeds, his body hidden in the water, he saw nearly the whole of Windclan standing menacingly in Riverclan territory. Keeping calm, the senior warrior pulled himself out and approached warily, eyes flickering to each of the more agressive cats.

Struggling to stay straight-faced, the white tom looked to face Falconstar. Oh, if only the clan wasn't so ill. He'd never say that aloud, though. "I assume there's reason for this." Being the only healthy senior warrior meant he should speak, unless Mistfeather was healthy enough to.
