The Raven meets the Heather (Closed for Toy)

Heatherkit was sitting beside the nursery, feeling lonely. She sighed to herself sadly, staring down at her paws. Recently she had been paying much attention to Ravenkit, but right now she felt like not even he would come to make her feel better. This was only her second time out of the nursery. Shouldn't it be more exciting?

The gray clouds loomed over the camp, casting a dreary light, sure to sadden anyone. Especially Ravenkit. He hated rainy days, and he hated them even more when his friends were sad. So he briskly stepped out of the den, letting a sad sigh escape. Even though he noticed Heatherkit, he just didn't feel like talking. So he stood there, whimpering. Waiting for someone to come up and talk to him. . .

Heatherkit spotted Ravenkit, and a sense of betrayal cast itself on her as she realized that he had seen her... and hadn't come to her. She held back a wail of despair, and instead let out a little whimper. All the warriors and patrol were on patrol or something or other, the leader and deputy were most likely discussing that she wasn't good enough for becoming an apprentice, and all the kits and queens were nestled happily in the nursery. And Ravenkit was ignoring her.

An instinct told him to go over to her, but it would probably be equally embarrassing as when he'd first met her. His legs suddenly had a flicker of energy, forcing him to waltz over to her. "Hi, Heatherkit," He said softly, purring quietly.


OOC: In a rush atm so sorry for shoetness

Heatherkit jerked her head up, and felt a purr rumbling in her chest. "Ravenkit..." she murmured. It was the only word she could say at that time. She edged a little closer to him, hoping he wouldn't notice. Soon she was pressed against his side, his fur comforting her. She really wanted him to give her a lick, and she was too shy to do it herself.

This was not what Ravenkit was expecting, but he was equally happy. As she pressed against his fluffy pelt, he sat down and let his head gently lean on Heatherkit's. Yet, since he was about a moon older, he was a little bit bigger. "It's okay, Heatherkit," He cooed reassuringly. He sensed her shyness, and decided to step up. He gave her a quick lap on her head. 

Heatherkit smiled to herself, and kept staring at her paws.

OOC: Lol talk about it

IC: He wasn't completely clear about how she responded to his affections, but he remained there, embarrassment flowing through him. 

OOC2: In the middle of homework oops forgot bout it...

Heatherkit wanted to stay there forever, but it was getting eternally awkward, so she pulled away and cleared her throat to say awkwardly, "Um.. well.. Wanna play something..?" Her white and ginger hairs pricked uncomfortably, and her short-haired tail twitched weirdly.

OOC: Apparently so. My teacher is kinda strict XD

IC: "Sure," He responded, still feeling dazed. She's so pretty. Was all he managed to think before his kittenish instincts took over. He crouched playfully at the sight of a Mossball. He crept towards it as if it was some sort of prey. But, instead of pouncing, he batted the ball softly towards Heatherkit. Ravenkit gave a snort of laughter as it rolled in the opposite direction.

Heatherkit stared at Ravenkit as he batted the mossball, feeling slightly in a daze.... But then she gave in to tearing her eyes away from the handsome kit and pranced past him toward the mossball. Being an expert at Mossball, she used her strength to bat the ball back to Ravenkit. The ball went far, whistling above Ravenkit's head. "Come on, Ravenkit, catch it!" she teased.

Confused by the sudden pass, he shot behind him, and leaped. His mouth opened as he caught the ball, which allowed it to roll out of his mouth, which caused an incomplete pass. He gave a tiny moan. Damn it! He thought bitterly, chasing after the ball. As he finally neared it, he pounced and brought it back to Heatherkit in a robotic like fashion. 

OOC: Shortness

Heatherkit smiled. "It's okay. But I bet you can't catch this one!" As she reached her paw up to throw the ball, she tripped, and fell against Ravenkit. She got up quickly, blushing. The moss ball moved out of sight, and Heatherkit stared at the ground, hoping a hole would open beneath her paws that she could use to teleport back to the future and retry the throw. But a hole did not open beneath her paws so that she could use it to teleport back to the future and retry the throw, so her cheeks got hotter and hotter.

As the ball rolled away, he found it as an opportunity to play. He wasn't fully aware what Heatherkit was feeling, but he slowly walked after the Mossball. He lifted it - and gave it back to Heatherkit so she could retry. He didn't know how she felt until he glanced at her eyes. They looked sad. But, in order to be as un-awkward as possible, he stepped back, crouching. He was ready to spring up and catch that Mossball!

Heatherkit lifted her eyes briefly. They were slightly watering from embarrassment, but she kicked the mossball back to Ravenkit with all she had, and watched with excitement as the ball sailed high over Ravenkit's head. "Well, I know you can't catch that!" she purred, her embarrassment forgotten.
