A Little Rebel [open]

Owlkit sat bitterly on the far edge of camp. How come her siblings got to become apprentices before she did? It wasn't fair! Sure, maybe she made a few sly remarks to her grandfather, Thrushstar, but it was all in good fun. She didn't see why she had to have her ceremony withheld. "It's not fair!" she hissed aloud, hoping her Clanmates could hear her distress. She hopped to her paws and paced angrily back and forth. "I deserve to be an apprentice! Why do Redpaw and Nightpaw get to be apprentices before me?" The kitten heard pawsteps approaching. She looked up, glowering.

Marigoldleaf sat down next to Owlkit, purring. "Hey, Owlkit."

Rainpaw saw the upset kit, What's ruffling her fur? Oh! She's being held back! Sympathizing with the young pretty she-cat he padded up cautiously and sat on her other side. Flicking her with his grey tail softly he mewed, "Evening Owlkit, Marigoldleaf, Something troubling you?"

ic: Owlkit receded away from Marigoldleaf, lashing her tail. She said nothing, only listened to the deep purring of the warrior. You're only purring because you don't know what it's like to be held back while your brothers get to train before you. She scooted away from Marigoldleaf, glaring at her paws. Her ear careened to the sound of an apprentice approaching. It was Rainpaw. Scrunching up her nose at the similar-sized tomcat, she hissed. "Like you don't know? You didn't see me get apprenticed with Redpaw and Nightpaw. Just for 'misconduct.' That's no reason to keep me from becoming an apprentice!" Owlkit shied away, glaring ahead as the two cats sat on either side of her.

Mudpaw was lying in a small ray of sun when he saw his mentor talking to a kit. The kit seemed to be distressed, and the tom was curious the reason why. He reluctantly got up from the comfortable patch of sun and padded over to them. Mudpaw decided not to say anything, but gave a nod hello to Marigoldleaf and sat down near them.

Strikekit sat gloomily in the middle if the camp. She was ready to be an apprentice just like her sisters. She looked up when she saw Owlkit sitting at the edge of the camp hissing at two cats she didn't know. She wanted to know what was happening so she got up and padded towards them.

Fogpaw, who was laying in the sun close by, heard the conversation and couldn't help feeling sorry for Owlkit. She thought Thrushstar was being too harsh. Fogpaw padded to Owlkit and sat down, her eyes full of sympathy for the kit. Hey Owlkit how are you holding up? Fogpaw mewed gently.

Rainpaw awkwardly got up and padded away, with the growing number of cats he didn't want to upset the young she-cat.
