Bluepaw and Minnowpaw's Warrior Ceremonies

Duskfall came out onto the clearing, his gaze sweeping over the bustling camp to settle upon kits tumbling around in the clearing. Every time he held a ceremony, it felt as though it was too soon. Only moons ago did he name the kits apprentices and now they were to be warriors. That was a good thing of course, with Leafbare on it's way. But also it was bittersweet, as the youth became grown cats, who'd choose their own paths now. Their mentors could guide them no more. With this odd feeling in mind, the brown tom leapt up onto High Rock and yowled.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath High Rock for a clan meeting!"

This was Silverkit's first clan ceremony since she came to ThunderClan. She bounded around just outside the nursery, wishing she was an apprentice. In a few days, I'll be old enough to catch my own prey, and I'll get a front row seat of everything! She thought to herself. Silverkit looked at Duskfall. His eyes gleamed a little as he stood on the High Rock, as though he were proud of himself and the apprentices who were about to become warriors.

She recluantly trudged from the nursery. It was always uncomfortable and rowdy with kits, and it was almost impossible for her to sleep in any form. Well. It's a lot quieter out here. 

(Her warrior name will be Bluesong)

Bluepaw flew out of the apprentices den. Excitement glowing in her eyes. She could hardly contain her joy. She finally calmed down a bit and sat down and groomed herself.

Minnowpaw padded out of the apprentices den and sat next to Bluepaw. She waited for Duskfall to continue.

Cloverpool followed her daughter and groomed her fur, giving Bluepaw a quick lick on the head to show how proud she was.

Foxfang watched his former apprentice from the elder's den, uncomfortable that he hadn't been able to train her completely before becoming an elder. This was on his mind throughout the ceremony, his eyes almost always fixed on Minnowpaw.

Bluepaw looked at Minnowpaw then Cloverpool and she sat up straight.

Minnowpaw purred and flicked her tail eagerly. She waited for Duskfall to announce whatever he was going to say, she had never seen one of these before.

Cloverpool flicked her tail at her daughter proudly.

"Bluepaw, Minnowpaw, please step forward." The deputy called out, gesturing with his paw for them to take their places underneath High Rock for the ceremony to begin.

Minnowpaw stepped forward.

Bluepaw got up and followed Minnowpaw.

"I, Duskfall, deputy of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warriors in their turn." His eyes were turned to the heavens as he spoke, calling upon StarClan to truly see these apprentices for the hardworking clan cats they were and bless them. While some might have been skeptical about StarClan truly coming down for each ceremony, Duskfall has no doubt that beyond the veil they were watching. "Bluepaw, Minnowpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." Minnowpaw meowed excited

Bluepaw inhaled deeply.
"I do," she mewed loudly.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Bluepaw, from this moment you will be known as Bluesong. StarClan honours your patience and righteousness, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Thunderclan. While you, Minnowpaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Minnowtail. StarClan honours your loyalty and kindness, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Thunderclan." Duskfall finished, a happy gleam in his green eyes. Two fine additions to the warrior den, seeing apprentices become warriors always bolstered his pride in ThunderClan. "As per tradition, the two of you will hold a silent vigil from sundown while we all get a good nights rest. Make sure you celebrate while you can."

With all that he need to say said, he hopped down from his perch to join the rest of the clan in celebratory chanting. "Bluesong! Minnowtail! Bluesong! Minnowtail!"
