Dead Turtle (Turtlepelt's death topic for those who signed up)

OOC: Can I have Goldenpaw come in? Also, after this post I'm waiting for Sun.

IC: Goldenpaw raced out of camp at the strong scent of blood, and gasped when he saw the dead body of Turtlepelt. "Flamestripe..." Was all he heard, before being greeted by the filthy bloody rouges. "What are you looking at? Go away or I'll kill you both!" He hissed.

Now, at he threat, "Go away or I'll kill you both," made him dart away fast as he could.

Flamestripe came bounding from the trees, just in time to see Eagle kill Turtlepelt. "No! No!" All his instincts told him to dash after Eagle as he ran away, but he knew he had to stay with Turtlepelt.

Grief-stricken, he slunk over to Turtlepelt. His heart ached as she murmured his name. "Turtlepelt, are you still there? Can you hear me? You can't be dead, you can't.... Turtlepelt?" Flamestripe thrust his muzzle into Turtlepelt's shoulder fur, vaguely surprised that he felt the same grief for Turtlepelt as when he had been grieving for Silkcloud, his dead mate.

I never noticed her.... I never grew to appreciate that Turtlepelt was always there for me, I never realized how much she meant to me.... And now she's gone. "Turtlepelt, I'm so sorry," he murmured, feeling utterly heartbroken. "We could have had such a wonderful future if I noticed you earlier. I'll miss you so much.... Say hi to Silkcloud in StarClan for me, and let you be welcomed like an old friend in their ranks."

Sighing deeply, he forced himself to his paws, and heaved Turtlepelt onto his shoulders, nudging her gently with his nose. With her body draped securely over his back, Flamestripe headed slowly towards ThunderClan camp, head down, only acutely aware of his aching shoulders as Turtlepelt's limp weight leaned heavily onto them.

When he reached ThunderClan camp, he leaned down, gently rolling Turtlepelt off his back. He nudged her into the center of the clearing, and very gently and respectfully moved her so that she was curled into a tight ball. He moved her tail so that it was laying over her nose, and closed her eyes using the laps of his tongue. He stood back and stared solemnly, grief-stricken, at her body, which now looked as though it was merely asleep. The slight breeze ruffled Turtlepelt's flank fur, and Flamestripe winced slightly.

OOC: I have two suggestions: 1) I think we should make another topic specifically for TC to grieve for her, and 2) @Ash-Tansy, do you think we could make a topic for Turtlepelt to meet Flamestripe in StarClan? I think we'll have to ask for permission first, though.... I also have one apology! Sorry for making this so long.

OOC: Ok, sorry for my absence. I've been at a retreat where they confiscated all electronics. Now, it's ok this time, but the next time you two are in a battle (especially if it's a large one) please wait for everyone. The battle system is a turn-based system where everyone posts once a turn in a specific order, and skipping other people is against the rules and only adds to the mass confusion that usually occurs towards the end of it all.

IC: Miles huffed as the she-cat hit his belly and he rolled off her, but they were interrupted by another rogue tom. Miles could swear he'd seen the tom somewhere before, but the thought was put out of his mind as the Siamese cat took and killed his opponent. He hissed in frustration, but hearing more cats approaching, followed suit and bolted off in a different direction with his finch in his jaws.

The starry figure of a warrior watched, heart breaking, as her best friend carried her back to ThunderClan. Still, she had gotten her wish. She had died fighting. She had loved Flamestripe, but she had gotten along with Silkcloud. As she heard his last request, an idea struck her, dulling the pangs of grief in her heart. Maybe she could arrange for them to meet in StarClan...
