Mistfeather leapt on to the old willow branch with pride. Today, another one of her apprentices earned their warrior name. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!"

Salmonpaw padded out of the apprentice's den. She had a feeling that it would be the last time. She walked under the Willow Branch, and smiled.

Creampaw followed her friends, a smile spread across her face. She knew this was Dewpaw's and Salmonpaw's warrior ceremony. But though a thrill of pride passed through her, she also felt a little jealous that her warrior ceremony hadn't happened yet. And I'm older than Dewpaw and Salmonpaw! What did I do wrong? I passed all the requirements! But she forced herself not to whine and put on a happy face.

She padded over to her friends and licked them each on the forehead. "Congratulations," she murmured affectionately.

Oakpaw padded out of the apprentices' den. It wasn't long ago when he and Gravelpaw became apprentices. Spotting Dewpaw, Salmonpaw and Creampaw, he let out a smile, remembering the moons when he was only a kit. They're so friendly! But I wonder what Mistfeather is going to announce?

Patchface lumbered from the Warriors' den, yawning loudly. Probably another apprentice ceremony, right? He spotted Dewpaw, and a thought clicked in his mind. Of course! It was probably her ceremony. He could've sworn it was just yesterday that he adopted her as a kit. He settled underneath the willow branch, gazing up at Mistfeather hopefully.
