Salmonpaw's taining thread

After she had gotten up from last nigth sleep she woke Salmonpaw so they could do some training. First lesson would be speed. Then hunting and then battle training. She wasnt sure what they would have time for today but she was going to try to at least do speed and at least little huning. She paused where she was to make sure Salmonpaw was behind her.

Salmonpaw nodded to Silverwing and padded closer to her. "What training are we going to do today?" She asked, eager to learn how to hunt.

"We see what we will have time for. But right now your first lesson is speed." SIlverwing said. And with that she took off running through the forest without looking back. Salmonpaw would have to catch Silverwing

Salmonpaw narrowed her blue eyes, and without hesitation, she sprinted off after Silverwing. The leaves shook. And when she stopped, she wobbled, and then shook the sand out of her blue ish pelt.

Silverwing had her claws dug into ground as she ran. She made a turn so it would make a circle back to where they started. She hope Salmonpaw would follow. With few minutes she was back where she and Salmonpaw started for the training today. She waited for Salmonpaw.

Salmonpaw stopped for a short moment to catch her breath, but a moment later, she put her claws into a tree and ran sideways with her claws in the bark.

Silverwing waited patiently for Salmonpaw to catch up. She hoped that she picked up on what Silverwing did to pick up speed.

Salmonpaw leaped off of the tree, and sank her claws into the ground, and jumped. She flew next to Silverwing, and fell down on the ground.

Silverwing saw that the apprentice had caught up to her but also notice that she fall. Her eyes narrowed and said "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm just..." Salmonpaw panted, "tired." She got up and meowed, "What next, Silverwing?" She smiled, and sighed. Her belly gave her a thorn sharp feeling with hunger. "I'm starving. Can I learn to hunt so I can eat?"

Silverwing nodded and said "Sure thing. Do you know how to do the hunter crouch?" She wanted to know if she had picked up anything from the other apprentices when she was still a kit.

Salmonpaw stayed silent, then spoke at the falling of a leaf. "Uh, um, never heard of it," she stammered, "Never."

"Thats okay you learn. The pest way for hunter crouch is to have stomach low to ground with tail sticking straight out with all of your weight on back paws." Silverwing explained as she showed what she ment. "Try it." Silverwing said to salmonpaw. then she started glancing closely at her so she could check to see how she was doing it.

Salmonpaw crouched, and she sprung unexptedly, to catch a water vole. Salmonpaw pinned the brown vole, and killed it,with a snapping bite. She picked it up, and placed it next to Silverwing. "Can I eat this now?" Salmonpaw meowed hungrily.

Silverwing thought for moment. they were meant to bring the prey back to camp for the clan buut the apprentice was hungry and done a good job with her training session. It was decided, "Sure but afterwards you must catch more prey to bring back to camp."
