Taking Refuge [Open to TC]

Nightfire felt all along Spottedstars back, and felt a gap, and then a lump. "Her spine, its broken" he murmed, so only ones close to him could hear. He gave a sigh and felt her chest. Her breathing had stopped, and her heart along with it. He took a step back. "Her first life, its gone." he whispered. Surely some had heard him, so he spoke yet again. "Stay back everyone, let her come back and rest. She will need it."

Olivepaw and Echopaw gasped. "Mom!" he tried to go forward but his sister stopped him "No, let her be. She isn't gone, she will be back."

~Ghostpaw, who hadn't been seen for a while, found the rest of his clan far later than the others. He had disobeyed orders but as a result he carried Goldenpaw's body. He had been too late to save her but he had refused to let her body burn and had pulled her out of the fire. Setting Goldenpaw's body down he curled up next to her cold mass and cried silently.~

~Lionpaw had been with the rest of his clan near the river for a while but had been separated from Daisypaw in the chaos. Just as he was about to walk over to Sunpaw, Lionpaw heard someone speaking about Hawkstrike and immediately listened in. Once he had figured out where Hawkstrike was he immediately headed off in that direction, looking for Daisypaw.~
