Daisykit, Flashkit, Firekit, Ghostkit, Shrikekit, Stormkit, and Sweetkit's Ceremony

It was early in the morning, Duskfall entered into the camp clearing to hold a ceremony for his latest grandchildren, Hawkstrike and Frozenflame's litter. Leaping up onto High Rock with practised ease, the tom yowled for all to hear.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Flashkit padded out of the nursery with her siblings

Shrikekit raced out pass her sister and brother, pushing Flashkit and Firekit out of the way to get to High Rock first. Her calico fur was perfectly groomed by her mother and she was ready to become an apprentice finally.

Firekit, on the other hand, padded out sedately out of the nursery in no rush. If anything he was a little annoyed at his sister, but he held it down, knowing she was just overeager to become an apprentice.

~Ghostkit, who had been right behind Firekit, picked up his pace so he was walking alongside his brother.~ "She's going to trip if she doesn't slow down..." ~As he said this Ghostkit glanced at his brother, both in search for his reaction and his response. During the last moon Ghostkit had become more quiet and he still couldn't tell if it bothered his siblings or not.~

"Well mother did name her after a bird. I don't think she's thinking too hard with that tiny brain of hers." He joked, nudging him lightly as they walked alongside each other to High Rock. Firekit had noticed Ghostkit had become more quieter than he already was lately, but Firekit guessed he'd speak more if he felt the need. Grandfather spoke of how his Great Aunt, Coalfur, could go hours without saying a peep. Maybe Ghostkit took after her?

Stormkit ran to the highrock, pouncing on her sister to slow Shrikekit down. After she tackled Shrikekit, she jumped off and ran to the base of the highrock, laughing evilly. Stomkit sat down, being the first one there, and curled her tail over her paws. Her once groomed fur was now messy from her attack on Shrikekit.

Frozenflame padded behind the kits, sitting with them at the highrock. He groomed down Stormkit's fur and told her to stop tackling her sister.

Blazingheart was right behind Frozenflame, excited to see his grandchildren become apprentices. Who knew? Maybe soon he'd be a great-grandfather!

Soaringpaw stayed in the apprentice's den, not caring what happened outside in the camp. He was too depressed to care.

Flashkit whispered to Stormkit "we're gonna be apprentices can you believe it!!!" She sat next to her sister at the foot of the high rock and curled her tail around her paws.

"Did you see that, Father!" Shrikekit squeaked indignantly are her sister's unprovoked attack. Nevermind the fact she shoved her brother and sister aside before, she was outraged at her sister. Puffing up her fur.

Firekit rolled his eyes at his sister so Ghostkit could see his response, finding it ironic that after all that rush, Shrikekit got beaten by their oldest sister.

Flashkit was so excited and couldn't believe she would be and apprentice she was the smallest and youngest of them and didn't think she would really be a good apprentice since she was so small and young. She thought that maybe she might be cut out to be a medicine cat instead of a warrior. She really didn't think her parents would think much of her if she became a medicine cat though and hoped she got her grandfather as her mentor.

Frostpaw padded out of the apprentice den to see her cousins become apprentices. While she was excited for more fellow apprentices to share duties with, the apprentice den was already cramped as it is. She couldn't imagine having seven more apprentices to share that one space with. If this kept up, she was going to have to sleep in the clearing at night.

Cloverpaw padded out after  Frostpaw and looked around to see if Sunkit was out here already since she didn't see him in the den.



Flashkit thought of telling her father and mother that she wanted to be a medicine cat instead of a warrior but then again maybe she should try this warrior this out first to see if she wanted to be a warrior instead. Instead of thinking of that she looked around at her fellow cats. She saw Cloverpaw, and Frostpaw but where were the other apprentices?

OOC: Sorry about that, I had volleyball camp.

IC: Sweetkit padded out of the nursery, only to get showered in licks by her grandmother. Giving an exasperated sigh, she waited patiently while Hollyberry groomed her. Though she sounded grumpy, her eyes were shining and light.

Hollyberry practically attacked her granddaughter's fur with licks. A purr rose from her throat. "I know, I know. I'm sorry. But, you never know if you might become an apprentice today!" she hinted, smiling.

Batpaw smiled down at his niece. "Trust me, it'll be fun. You'll be in the apprentices den, with me!" he meowed.

Flashkit looked around for a familiar face besides her sister.


Cloverpaw sat next to Sunkit and meowed quietly to him "can I talk to you later?"

"I did see that, Shrikekit. I'm sure Stormkit was only playing around, right Stormkit?" Frozenflame asked the last part strictly so that Stormkit would know not to tackle her siblings.

Stormkit sighed and rolled her eyes. "Yes, father. Sorry, Shrikekit, I wont do it again," she purred. The last part was a lie, but she was actually kinda sorry for tackling her sister. She gave Shrikekit a lick on the cheek to show her love for her, then turned back to the rock.
