Attacks from the sky [SC EVENT]

Dusk.. It was the perfect time to attack. A rather large hawk had perched it's self on a branch near the shadowclan camp. He'd been watching these cats for days now, observing them. He soon figured out that they had little ones, perfect prey for his own young. His head turned towards the side as he kept his eyes on the guard, the hawk however wasn't intimidated at all. These puny little cats can never intimidate a bird like him, the hawk had positioned himself to take flight. His mate would return to assist him in the attack later, spreading his large wings, the hawk leaped from the branch. Screeching into the night, gliding through the black sky with ease. He was ready to strike. As soon as the hawk screeched, clan cats jolted from their dens, he could sense it. Their panic, how pathetic the large hawk dove down, just to intimidate the cats. Screeching louder, as he jolted right back up to the sky. A distant screech told the cats that another hawk was nearby.

Jayclaw awoke with a jolt, the sound of horrible screeching rang in his ears. His bright blue eyes narrowed in suspicion and worry, "A hawk.." He mumbled to himself, scrambling form his nest. His aging blue eyes scanning the sleeping warriors that laid comfortably in their nests. "Wake up everybody theres a hawk! Somebody alert Thrushstar!" Jayclaw hissed leaping out of the warriors den, and scampering out towards the open sky. There he saw it, a large brown bird that showed no signs of fear, growling the old warrior had unseathed his claws. Hissing lowly, he knew what it was after, kits though Shadowclan won't let him take them not without a fight. The warrior ducked his head when the hawk swooped under, tumbling away from the hawks large claws. In all of his warrior hood, he never had to fight a hawk.. His ears perked as he had heard another screech of a hawk, more distant then this one. Which only meant one thing.. There was two of them.

Shadekit's eyes popped open. "What was that?" She wondered. She looked toward the outside to see her father, Jayclaw. "What's he doing?" She yawned.

Sandpaw heard the sound and her grey ginger ears perked up and she padded from the den quietly instead of just peeking out. She saw her father,Jayclaw, before she saw the hawk swoop down. She blinked her eyes wide for a moment as she crouched low.

"What is happening!" Curiosity got the best of Shadekit and she padded outside, unaware of the danger she put herself in.

A loud shriek woke the little black tom from his slumber. Magpiekit ran out of the nursery, his amber eyes bright with fear. His father and sisters were already out and alert. Another piercing screech filled the camp as more cats filled the camp. What was going on?

Following Jayclaw's gaze he spotted an enormous bird. It's brown wings furiously flapped through the sky. His father was shouting 'hawk' loudly so the kit came to the conclusion that was the bird's name. Seeing the warrior's fear, Magpiekit knew to stay low and far away from the predator. He backed up slowly, not taking his eyes off of the bird.

Stumppaw ran out in horror, hearing cats yowl "Hawk!" He looked up at the animal and ran to his father. "Can we kill it?" He asked his father. His eyes darted to the hawk warily with every second. Will it kill us, or can we kill it? He panicked as it swooped, but breathed heavily as it missed and swooped up. "Dad?" He wailed. The hawk was frightening and he was sure scared...

Lionpaw awoken by the commotion leap out of the apprentice's den, her ginger fur a mess. At first, she thought it was enemy warriors from the yelling, but a piercing screech along with the lack of scent, gave away it was something else. She looked around to confirm the situation, and found out in horror that two kits were in the clearing. Prime target for a hawk, looking to catch an easy meal.

"Shadekit! Magpiekit!" She yowled, trying to get to them while dodging the hawk's swoops.

Blizzardsky dashed from the warriors' den at the alarm sound. He knew a hawk was a huge threat to their smaller cats, so he made sure to stay near the middle of the camp, as he was a rather large tom. He spotted a hawk trying to rake its talons against Stumppaw. Before he could rush over to help the apprentice, he felt a strong gust of wind pass by him as another hawk flew over him. There was more than one!? He hopped onto his hind legs, claws unsheathed, ready to strike if a hawk was to attack.

Scarletfrost awoke with the loud screeching of the birds of prey. Drawn out of the den by the commotion outside, she spotted many of her clanmates rushing around to protect the younger cats, and to fight off the threatening hawks. She spotted Blizzardsky, and ran over to help him.
