Dancing in the rain [Hon/Open]

The soft pitter patter of the rain was like soothing music to Orcapaws ears. Finally some weather she can enjoy, Orcapaw did enjoy new-leaf though the heat was too much for her pelt. She would often stay tucked away under the shade of a tree or some other forms of shadows. Although Rain? Rain was an entire different story, the fluffy apprentice enjoyed everything about rain. The beautiful sounds it made, how cold the water was when it dripped onto you, and when the rain goes away everything just smells so fresh.. just so nice. How the earth beneath her paws turn's loomy and wet. In the apprentices mind, rainy days were the absolute best as the rain became softer, the apprentice dashed out of the den. Feeling the rush of wind in her fur and the wonderful sound of the drops it made.

By the time she was drenched with rain, the clouds started drifting apart revealing a bright golden sun. Settling down in the clearing of the camp Orcapaws ears flickered as she observed the fluffy white clouds moving slowly in the bright blue sky, a happy and peaceful grin spreading across her features, as always new-leaf had brought another bright and beautiful day, even after a little rain.

As the rain finally let up, Galepaw made his way out of the apprentice's den. The clouds still had some darkness to them, which cast spots of darkness all around the camp. Every now and then, she sun would get swallowed up by clouds, and slowly make its way back out, leaving them with temporary darkness of some sort. These days seemed most beautiful to him. Instead of just having a normal one color shade for a couple of hours, it shifted, showing the beauty of both side. Still, this was pretty rare of an occurrence, so it had to be enjoyed. Who knew when the next day like this would come? In the middle of the camp stood a somewhat black looking cat with long fur plastered to her body, tiny droplets of water catching the sun's light. He stared at her, almost mesmerized by that stupid looking grin of hers. what baffled him the most about this situation was how she could stand there, drenched, and not be cold.

Orcapaw was to content to notice the weird looks of her clan-mates, instead she kept her bright green eyes exactly on the sun. It was a pity, she had wished that the rain would have stayed longer, though it seemed like mother nature had other plans for the forest. Her fur was getting a bit heavy due to it being soaked with rain, with a irritated sigh she quickly shook out as much rain as she could. Leaving her fur in a jumbled mess.

The pretty apprentice hated her fur, others didn't know why. When she was a kit her mother would always compliment on how beautiful her fur was and always bugged her about not keeping it tidy enough. Though for Orcapaw her fur was just an annoying thing that always bothered her, she often had to clean it way more then usual, which annoyed her onto an entirely new level.

She began grooming her shoulder, turning her head just at the right angle too notice a complete baffled look coming from Galepaw, a much older apprentice. She huffed, her green eyes narrowing she knew that look, she felt as if cats were judging her all the time but she honestly didn't care. "Oh hey Galepaw." Orcapaw mewed confidently, blinking her large green orbs. "Mind telling me what your looking at?" The pretty apprentice scoffed, as she continued to give her self a good grooming.

"Nothing nothing." he said nonchalantly, as if he hadn't done anything wrong. That edge to her voice irritated him a bit, but not enough to make him take up that same edge, only one person had made him do that, and that was his sister. Of course, he really only spoke to Inkpaw, so he didn't really have too much experience talking to others. Don't blame me for what i say. Slowly, he walked over to her, and prodded her with a paw. "You're not cold or anything?" Her fur still felt a bit wet, and colder than he would have expected.

Her ear twitched, the tom didn't seem so interested but his tone was rather calm. It was a bit strange, she never really met Galepaw before but all the she-cats fell for him for some odd reason. The fluffy apprentice blinked when the tom prodded at her. "Whats with you." Orcapaw hissed towards the tom, moving away from him. Rolling her large green eyes at his question, "Nope, my long fur keeps my pretty toasty." The apprentice mewed her tail flicking.

His confused gaze followed her as she backed away from him. Hmm, what is wrong with me? After a couple more moments of his awkward stare, he finally spoke. "You like your fur, don't you?" the tom said in a rather monotonous tone. He honestly didn't see why she did. something too long had to be terrible in Greenleaf. Perfect in Leaf-bare though. Meanwhile, Galepaw would be stuck in the middle of both. Still, it was better than being too cold or too hot. "It looks... nice?"

He spoke rather confusing words, well at least in her mind he did. They didn't make much sense and it caused a natrual reaction for the fluffy she-cat. Orcapaw cocked her head, her green eyes squinting, " What..? No not really.." The apprentice shrugged feeling that the conversaition was going cold with awkwardness. "Um.. Thanks but im pretty sure that I asked if it did.." Orcapaw had mewed forcing a grin onto her features as if she had liked his compliment.

"i don't get you." he whispered with narrowed eyes. She seemed like quite the enigma from just one encounter. He would gladly twist her open if given the chance, but with the way things were going at this moment, he knew there wouldn't be a chance. In an attempt to reset the conversation, he said, "What's your name?" He hadn't asked yet, and he never really bothered to learn everyone's name in the clan, something he should have done.
