Early in the Morning Playdate

To say that Badgerkit was protective was a understatement. Nothing escaped his deep aqua eyes; of course they were almost always on his two sisters. The gray, black, and white kitten almost never left his sisters' sides as if he was worried if he wasn't by their side, something bad would befall them. Today was like one of those days, he stood watch by the nursery entrance as he peaked out at the camp before him. His tail flickered every few moments, but other than that and an small flicker of one of his ears, he was as still as a rock. If anybody was to ask the small kit was he was doing, he would claim that he was protecting the queens.

As a cat that would no doubt become a warrior one day, he felt it was his duty to protect the queens. After all, a warrior always protected their Clan. But could Badgerkit really say what a warrior did or not did? ...No, of course not. He knew only what he could know from sticking to his siblings' sides. But to him, he already felt he knew the bases of being a warrior; protecting family and home, no matter the cost. Well, and uphold the Warrior Code...But Badgerkit wasn't completely sure what that was. He had once overheard some warriors mention it but what was in the Warrior Code was lost upon the kitten. All he knew was that he was up hold it. Perhaps when he became an apprentice, what exactly was written in this 'Warrior Code' would be told to him With a glimmer in his eyes, he knew that the moons following when he did learn it, he would follow it the best he could. He wanted to be the best warrior ever for his father's sake.

However, his whiskers twitched as he finally gave up standing still. He forced himself to his paws. He tilted his head with a soft huff, one of his ears falling to the side as the other one stayed upright. Why did things have to be so boring! Nothing seemed to happen, then again he was almost always in the nursery to know any better...He turned and padded back to where his mother and younger sisters were. As he quietly moved forward, he came to a stop before he gently poked his oldest sister, Stormkit, gently in the side in an attempt to wake her up. “Wake up,” he hissed softly under his breath, as if afraid if he spoke too loud he would wake up the other kits. “Stormkit, I wanna play.” After poking Stormkit in enough times to make sure she was awake even with his gentle prods, he moved onto his youngest sister. “Come on!” he softly whined as he attempted to wake up his siblings. “I’m bored!”

Of course, if Badgerkit had really given it a thought, he would have realized that the sun is just rising which not only explained the bored mood he was in, but why he was the only one awake. But sadly, that simple train of thought escaped his mind. He just wanted something to do now.

The 'soft' prodding at her side surely didn't feel soft to Stormkit... They felt like jabs with sharp thorns peircing through her body. Which sure as heck was enough to wake her up, and when she realized who it was who had done so... She was up in an instant. "I-I'm up! I'm up, Badgerkit!" A large yawn came from the kits' jaws as she then looked over at her brother trying to prod her youngest sibling awake. "No.. Don't wake her up! Then mom will fuss!" She said to her brother, mainly using it as a bit of an excuse. What could she say in her defense otherwise? She loved being around her brother. To say the least, she admired him. The way that he always was up first and was so eager to defend them all...

But back on the subject of their sister. Stormkit's mother, Whitefur, definitely had a thing for fussing over Orcakit. Almost as if she was the most prized thing in the world. But then again, Whitefur had a thing for making sure Badgerkit had things to do so he'd stay out of her fur... What did she get? What seemed to be not much, mainly because she tagged along with Badgerkit so much. What could she say, though? Half of the time, Stormkit was a respectable sister and wanted to take most of the blame when the others did wrong.. Just to be kind.

Now though, she actually wanted to tussle with her brother. Backing away from him for a few moments, she hurtled herself with all of her energy at Badgerkit, whamming into him. "Now, Badgerstar... It seems as if it is time to give up! For the mighty Stormstar has come!" She was already getting into her spirit for trying to impress her brother... As much as she could.

What a life.. having two annoying siblings bothering you 24/7 isn't very fun. Although Orcakit did love Badgerkit and Stormkit --- they need to know how to leave someone alone, the fluffy black she-cat was the smallest in the litter. In other words Orcakit was the runt, and of corse since she was the runt Whitefur had mostly fussed over her. Like the one time she tried to play along with the other kits - she was reluctant on letting her play. She loves her mom! - trust me, but she hates people fussing over her, Orcakit just finds it simply annoying. Though their mother did love Badgerkit and Stormkit as well - Whitefur just loved everyone and everyone seemed to respect her after all she was such a kind hearted cat that was simply gorgeous it would take your entire breath away everytime you look at her. Who was the lucky guy that scored and banged her up right? Turns out it was the deputy of the clan Rockfall. Though she didn't mind that her father was the deputy, she was happy for him - proud of her father. Its just - she didn't want to be looked differently at, Orcakit thought everyone was the same - that everyone should be treated the same but of corse not everyone has the same views as her. Apperantly Thunderclan and Windclan hates Skyclan - but Riverclan and Shadowclan were allies with them, she found that a tad bit strange in someways.

Orcakit was curled up comfortably around her mother - sleeping rather peacefully. She had quite a day yesterday, having to constantly play with her siblings because they were never entertained for very long. The fluffy she-kit's plump tail was tucked around her paws kind of using it like a pillow. Orcakit was a pretty heavy sleeper - she was immune to the impatient jabs Badgerkit was giving her, instead she stayed fast asleep looking quite content.

Although Orcakit wasn't immune to sounds.. Not at all.. Her head lifted drowsily as her bright green eyes snapped open - still glazed with sleep. "Hmmmm..?" She mewed softly her jaws stretching into a big yawn - squinting her eyes towards Badgerkit and Stormkit slightly tilting her small head. Stumbling out of the nest and padding over towards her siblings, "What tiime is it.. it seems to early for me.." Orcakit had mewed still a bit tired from her sleeping. Her tail flicked as she saw that they were the only ones up. The fluffy she-kit scoffed her tail flicking in annoyance "You guys always wake me up so early in the morning!" She wined her eyes rolling at the two of them.

Badgerkit hadn't been listening to what Stormkit was saying about not waking up Orcakit, as he just wanted to play with all of his siblings no matter if their mother would fussy over Ocrakit. His younger sister had just woken up when Badgerkit stumbled back to give her room, before suddenly feeling something ram into his side which sent him stumbling. He had to work hard in an attempt to stay upright front he blow as he turned to look at his sister as kept his footing. A grin spread across his face as he stared at Stormkit as she was ready to play fight, and couched down to mirror her. However, then he was distracted by Ocrakit talking. His gaze shifted from his oldest sister to his youngest, his tail flicking. "Oh...Come on, Ocrakit! I know it's early..." He truthfully had not realized how early it was. "But I want to play! Can you please play with us?" A soft, but kinda pleading smile flickered onto his face c for a second, attempting to give his sister a look that would convince her to play. He doubt he was doing so, but at least he had Stormkit. Speaking of which...His attention suddenly snapped back to his playful sister as he suddenly shot up from where he was couching and jumped at her, hoping to strike her and sending them rolling. Then his plan was to chew playfully on her ears until she gave up.

Stormkit honestly was a little upset when Badgerkit sort of ignored her, but if he really wanted Orcakit to be up... She'd be ready to cover her ears. Her hackles were still high in the air, her semi-fluffy tail swishing rapidly about as she stared at her brother. Looking over to her whining little sister though, she somewhat narrowed her eyes. "Come on Orcakit, why are you so afraid of playing with us?" She said, her own pleading look appearing in the gaze of the kit. Suddenly though, she was surprised by her brother practically tackling her. "Gah!" She had exclaimed in surprise, but she started giggling when he had been able to send her rolling onto her back. Her little paws batted at his stomach lightly, 'trying' to throw him off of her. "No! Badgerstar's got me!"

Orcakit huffed - the two always did this, she preferred some sleep couldn't they play later? Mother had always said that the more you sleep the more you grow! And Orcakit did want to grow alot - she was tired of being called small and weak - she wanted to show everyone. She can take care of herself, she'll grow big and strong just like her brother and sister! Orcakit glanced over at her sister, her hackles rising. "Okay Okay I'll play!" She mewed giving her sister an annoyed look, the fluffy she-kit walked over - her green eyes slightly rolling. Orcakit stepped back surprised when Badgerkit tackled Stormkit - her eyes turning big "Hey Badgerkit watch it! You can hurt her! Don't make me tell ma! " Orcakit hissed softly towards her brother even though she knew that he had no actual intentions to hurt Stormkit. Having a brilliant idea Orcakits whiskers twitched - she could totally take down her big brother! Fixing her posture she met her brothers gaze - "Hey Badgerstar! I challenge you!" Orcakit squeaked confidently launching forwards onto her brother and striking him lightly with her front paws.

When Ocrakit exclaimed about him perhaps going to hurt Stormkit, Badgerkit wanted to huff. Him? Hurt her? Never could the kit even dream of hurting his family members, they were just play fighting. He could never raise a real paw against Stormkit or Ocrcakit. However, he hadn't been looking at Ocrakit as he had been attempting to do his brilliant plan of chewing softly on Stormkit's ears, but when Ocrakit proclaimed the challenge, he blinked. "Hm?" he said, a confused looking spreading across his face as he let go of 'Stormstar's' ears and glanced over his shoulder; only to see his sister charging at him to late. He let out a gasp as Ocrakit lightly tapped him, it was still enough to gently send him rolling off of his oldest sister, and onto the ground of the nursery. He quickly recovered, sparing a glance at the two as his tail flicking uneasily and his whiskers twitched. "Oh, come on! You two are totally going to team-up, aren't you! That' isn't fair!" he whined softly, making sure to keep his voice low so that they didn't wake up anybody, their mother including.

Stormkit flicked her ears in an attempt to keep her brother from chewing on them as much as she could, but that didn't help much. The growing teeth of her brothers chewed softly upon the cartilidge anyways, and even as such it still felt rather funny. Giving out little squeaks as he did so, she was definitely having a good time. "No! Badgerstar has gotten me!" The young she-cat was giggling as this happened, she couldn't help herself! But when her sister was about to tell on Badgerkit, she couldn't help but look up with a rather disappointed look. "No, he won't!" She said in his defense, even though she was still practically squished underneath him. But when Orcakit tried to get Badgerkit off of her, and when her younger sister had succeeded, Stormkit was quick to get up. Listening to her brothers' complaints, an idea formed in her head. "Guys, I have an idea. How about... We all team-up, and attack the mighty sleeping twoleg? No twoleg can compare to three leaders!" She said in a hushed voice, her tail motioning to Whitefur, who was still curled up and sleeping rather soundly. How the she-cat did it, Stormkit would never know.

Things just got interesting! She never had been able to bring Badgerkit to the ground - him being the oldest also meant that he was the strongest. Maybe this was proof that Orcakit had been growing! And she was growing a-lot she will become the strongest warrior in skyclan! Maybe even in the entire forest! Her chest puffed out in pride when Bagderkit looked uneasy - her green eyes gleaming. Orcakit slightly narrowed her eyes looking over towards her sister. "Ha! I don't need Stormkit to beat you!" She mewed confidently puffing her chest out again. "I can take you on all by my self Badgerstar!" The fluffy black she-kit squealed happily - preparing to leap again before her sisters voice had caused her to pause. Her ears perking as she listened to her idea - her bright green eyes suddenly looked eager and she nodded quickly. "Yeah! Lets do it!!" Orcakit said hopping up and down.

Seeing how excited Ocrakit was having knocked him off caused him to grin softly. "You just got a lucky shot there, I could still beat you," he teased lightly, although it warmed his heart to see her so happy. She was the smallest so he could understand how knocking him from Stormkit had brighten her mood. But when Stormkit put her offer forward of attacking their mother- Er, the twoleg, and Ocrakit agreed, that brought a even bigger smile to Badgerkit's face. This? This would be fun. He nodded softly as he trotted over to his siblings, flicking his tail as he cleared his throat. "I know the three of us have always had our differences," he said, trying to make a speech. "And we have never gotten along, but Stormstar is right. Two-legs are a threat to each and every one of us, and I am sure as well that if the three of us team up; I, Badgerstar, Stormstar, and Ocrastar, we can defeat this threat to us!"

A grin appeared on his face as he crouched and slowly started to move forward toward the sleeping Whitefur, his tail flicking as he got into a good spot and glanced at his siblings, waiting for them to get into positions as well. Then with a simple single...Whitefur would be awoken by her kits...Er...The two-leg would be awoken by...His foes? Badgerkit frowned. Perhaps it would just remain easier to refer to his mother as Whitefur and not the two-leg. It would make everything a bit easier for him. Either way, she was going to be attack: playfully.

Stormkit had a huge grin on her face when she saw that the others had agreed to her plan. Attack Whitefur the two-leg, who always made them stay away from exploring! Well, that was how she saw it. Shrugging it from her mind, the fluffed tail of the kit swished about as she looked at the others. Listening to her brothers' words, she couldn't wipe the grin on her face no matter how hard she tried. They would take down the mighty foe!

Trying to pull a serious face, it took a few deep breaths before she could. Looking from her brother, to her sister, and her mother, Stormkit was ready to go. Getting in her position at her mothers back, she looked at the others with more serious and intense eyes. "Today we bring down a mighty foe, and may StarClan make sure we succeed!" She whispered cheerfully. The kit was so giddy with excitement, it was hard not to smile and look like she had just caught half of the prey supply for the Clan.

Orcakit cheered to Badgerkits speech - her brother sure had a way of convincing others. "Yes yes yes!" She grinned glancing over at her sister - she seemed pretty happy as well. Maybe it was because they liked her idea - she was pretty smart, probably the smartest out of the liter. "Together we will get rid of all of the two-legs in the forest!" Orcakit said to her siblings - hoping that they would agree. They would defeat the two-legs together - Badgerstar and Stormstar and herself Orcastar!

The black fluffy she-kit bounced over towards Whitefur preparing to attack at her chest area - she lowered herself into a crouching position - only knowing how to do it by watching some apprentices training. She glanced over to see where Badgerstar and Stormstar were they seemed to be ready to attack this two-leg aka her mother.. Orcakit raised her tail telling the two that she was ready to launch!

As his siblings got into position, Badgerkit watched with careful eyes. Once they were ready, his eyes narrowed as he stared at his mother, before he lashed his tail in a down motion. "ATTACK!" He shouted as he leaped forward, wrapping his paws around his mother's tail and gently sank his teeth into her tail. A small giggle escape him as he glanced around, attempting to see how his siblings were 'attacking the two-leg.'

Stormkit grinned, her tail having been lashing in anticipation as she had been waiting for Badgerkit's call. When he exclaimed the "attack!", she ran and pounced. She climbed up her mothers back, her little claws gripping the long fur easily as she made it up to her mothers' head, chewing on her ears as Badgerkit had done to her. "Sfrrndfr fr fce chfrgfs!" The muffled voice of Stormkit bellowed as she tried to chew through the cartilidge, but the fluff didn't help.

Whitefur had been sleeping peacefully, hiding within her little dreamscape. But the sudden feeling of little teeth sinking into her body woke him up. "GAH!" She threw her head up in panic, but soon realized one of her kits had started hanging on for dear life. Stopping, the pain from her tail made her look. "Badgerkit! Stormkit! Orcakit! What are you three doing?!?"

Stormkit stopped chewing on her mothers' ears. "DOWN WITH THE ENEMY!"

Soon as Badgerstar started attacking Stormstar had also joined in on the ambush. With a snort Orcakit ran towards her mother. Softly sinking her fangs into her mothers belly - hoping that it wouldn't hurt her, she then quickly released the skin of her mother and batted at her belly. Growling playfully as she continued to bat at her mother. Orcakit stopped what she was doing for a brief second to answer the two-legs question. "Quiet you beast! The powerful three will defeat you!" The fluffy she-kit squeaked at her mother climbing up onto her back.
