Your sister is gone

Blazingheart sadly stuck his head in the warriors den, searching for a certain brown pelt. He had just came back from watching Coalfur fall into the river from the breaking ice. He needed to let Duskfall know that she's gone and that Coalfur was about to say something to tell him, but never finished her sentance. "Duskfall?" The tom asked. "I need to speak with you." His voice was urgent and depressed.

Duskfall had just come back to camp with Softsong, his now mate. Together they'd strolled into camp, and the brown tom was eager to introduce his mate to his best friend. Not expecting anything out of the ordinary, he meowed happily in greeting.

"Hey Blazingheart, can it wait a second. Meet Softsong, she's from Skyclan but she's decided to leave them to join Thunderclan, and be my mate." He was beaming in pride of his mate, a beautiful and strong she-cat.

Softsong padded into camp beside her now mate, Duskfall. She smiled some and looked at Blazingheart"nice to meet you Blazingheart"she mewed.

Blazingheart ignored what his friend had said. "Duskfall, listen to me. This can't wait," He said sternly. "Coalfur is dead." The words seemed to fly out his mouth like a gunshot. "The ice broke at the river and..." The tom trailed off, dozing off into space as tears formed in his eyes. "I tried to save her, but she was too far away..." Anger welled up inside of him as he realized it was the Riverclan cat's fault. He dug his claws into the ground. "It's all because of that stupid Riverclan cat. It's her fault that Coalfur is dead! It's her fault, Duskfall!"

"No. It can't be. It's not funny, Blazingheart. Don't joke about things like that." Duskfall jerked back from his friend, looking frantically around for his sister. There was no way. He'd seen his sister this morning, she'd been healthy, wholesome and fine. She'd said she'd go to Sunningrocks to hunt while he was to the Skyclan border to meet Softsong. She couldn't, wouldn't leave him alone and die. He was firmly in denial.

"Duskfall, I'm not joking." Tears formed in the tom's eyes. He had been good friends with Coalfur and hated to see her go. "Why would I lie to you?" Blazingheart's voice was quavering as he spoke

"No. No. No." Duskfall looked around horrified, unable to think properly. His claws dug into the earth as he hissed denials. He knew Blazingheart would never do something as cruel as say things he didn't know we certain, but it was impossible. She couldn't be dead. His mind raced a million miles per hour before settling on one thought.

"You said a Riverclan she-cat was behind this."

Blazingheart nodded with anger filling him. "Yes, a she-cat by the name of...Icetail." The tabby dug his claws into the ground as he spat out her name.

"Then I will have Icetail's blood spill in payment for her murder of my sister. Coalfur deserved better than to be killed by a cowardly fishface." Duskfall yowled loudly throughout the clearing. He was furious, and he would make sure that the whole of Riverclan learnt not to mess with Thunderclan cats again. "Blazingheart, Softsong. Are you with me?"

Softsong blinked and nodded"you know i'm with you Duskfall"She mewed.

Blazingheart nodded. I hope Hollyberry is okay with me avenging Coalfur's life like this... "I think we need a plan."

Duskfall pressed his muzzle against Softsong's in a gesture of affection and pride. He wasn't alone now, and with his mate, Softsong, and his friend, Blazingheart, they would get through this.

A part of him wanted to charge in and just drag the she-cat out from camp, but reason told him that it would end badly. So he nodded to Blazingheart's words, agreeing that a plan was necessary. "We should consult the clan before we do anything."

Softsosmiled a little as he did but nodded after in agreement."yeah...we should consult the clan it migh affect it if we do anything"She mewed.

"I will announce our desires to retaliate against the Riverclan to the clan then." He spoke gravely, aware that there was no turning back now. They would go to war if necessary to avenge Coalfur, and make it clear that Thunderclan wouldn't sit idly as her cats were attacked. "Thank you, Blazingheart, Softsong, for your support."

Softsong nodded smiling a little before she nuzzled him"its no problem"She mewed before she looked at Blazingheart before back at Duskfall.
