hello sister AU

Let me explain the AU which this takes place in before I begin. In this universe, Rookfire and Shrikesong switch places, but not personalities. Rookfire is born to Smallbean and Cedarheart, one of six kits. A couple moons later, Shrikesong is born to NPCs and is trained by Iniko to be ShadowClan's next medicine cat.

With greenleaf came more plentiful prey, and Rookfire was enjoying hunting because of it. He preferred to hunt mice and squirrels the most, just because he was better at catching them than other prey. Birds flew away too easily for him to easily sneak up on, and he had no chance at catching frogs or fish. Eventually, the black tuxedo found himself near the River, the border between ThunderClan and RiverClan. He hadn't really been to this part of the territory that often, just because he didn't care for the fish-breaths that lived on the other side.

Okay, it was less of that and more that his sister betrayed ThunderClan for them.

The ThunderClan warrior still couldn't get over it. Why did she have to do that? Why was she so attracted with that RiverClan tom that she had to move there? It made Rookfire's pelt bristle in anger. Couldn't she have stayed in ThunderClan when their family began crumbling one by one? First Cedarheart, then Crowcaller, then Buzzardpaw, and now her! It left him and Waterlily as the only two cats left in their family in ThunderClan. If she even shows her face here-

And then he spotted her. Her dark ginger pelt shone from the other side of the river. Rookfire could come up and slap her in the face, but he didn't feel like it. He had better things to do than that, honestly. The black tuxedo settled at giving his (former) sister a piercing glare with his bright green eyes. At first, she didn't notice him, as she was paying attention to a RiverClan tom. However, she eventually turned his way and gave a piercing glare back. "Hello, sister," Rookfire said with a snarl, turning away from the she-cat. That's what she deserved for betraying ThunderClan.
