Everything hurts [Open]

The scent of blood was heavy as Coalpaw limped into camp. Her fur matted with blood, not all hers, but enough of it belonged to her that she was exhausted. The flames of fury burned brightly within her at the knowledge she'd lost to a Riverclan cat, to lose to a fishface. There was no greater humiliation.

She reached nearby the medicine den before collapsing exhausted in a messy heap. Her wounds oozed blood, too fresh to scab over as she laid there helplessly. She heard a cat approach her, but too tired to even turn her head and look.

Instead she meowed. "Who's there?"

"It's just me," Blazingpaw said as he sat down next to his friend. He wasn't in much of a better state then Coalpaw himself. "Wow, you look pretty beat-up," He said, his light amber eyes looking over the black she-cat.

"Hmph." The she-cat huffed, lying on her side on the ground. She honestly couldn't be bothered to lift her head and greet her friend, she barely had enough energy to move after taking on multiple cats. "You should see yourself."

Blazingpaw laughed. "Do I really want to?" He asked. The to rested his head on his paws, laying down, facing the she-cat. "How about you tell your brother to stay off Riverlan's territory? I think that would good." He coughed a little.

"Duskpaw listening to me? And hedgehogs fly." She spoke in between deep breaths, relaxing and stretching out onto the cold forest floor. The floor still beat moving, so she stayed there, facing Blazingpaw. "It was an accident though. He may be harebrained but he's no preystealer."

Blazingpaw laughed. "That is true." His laughs turned into coughs. He was still getting over his sickness.

"Nightfire's going to kill you." Coalpaw spoke in a matter of fact tone. Blazingpaw was a dead cat walking, fighting while his greencough wasn't gone completely. There was no way that the Thunderclan medicine would approve of such behaviour. "Duskpaw too. You're both dead."

Despite the struggle, Coalpaw got up to fetch a finch from the fresh kill pile which was looking sadder and smaller by the day. "Eat. Maybe if you're at least full, you can pretend to be fine again."
