HollyKit begins her journey

HollyKit sniffed at the ground. It was cold and hard unlike her bed of moss she slept in for a moon. Patting at the ground she giggled and then pounced on it. Circling she looked at her surroundings. It was so big! Then she spotted the fresh kill pile. "Oh! It's the fresh kill pile!" She bounded towards it and jumped on it. "Weee I'm taller then the world!" Suddenly she lowered her ears as she heard someone speak at her.

"Hollykit." Wolfkit called out, padding up hesitantly to the freshkill pile. She looked around in case anyone was watching. "I don't think you're allowed to do that."

Her tailed swished anxiously as she called out softly.

HollyKit giggled and then turned and leaped on WolfKit. "Grr don't talk to your clan leader like that!" She hopped off her and giggled again. "That would look funny if ThurshStar was on it. He would flatten all the fresh kill!" She rolled on her back and giggled more flailing her paws around.

Wolfkit squeaked as she was pounced on, and the moment Hollykit hopped off, she scrambled to her paws only to pounce. The move was ruined by her giggling along with the other kit, and she missed her mark slightly, but still managed to land somewhat onto of Hollykit.

"But then we'll have to eat prey that's touched Thrushstar's rear. Eugh!"

"I'd rather eat that then prey that has touched yours," Growled Mousepaw, looming over the two kits. He seemed to have come out of nowhere. Finally, some cats with normal colored pelts, He thought. The tom still found a way to male fun of them. "What's up with your fur?" He asked the black one with spiky fur. "And why are you half white?" He asked Wolfkit. His amber eyes seemed to be on fire, not flaming with anger, but flaming with amusement.

Darkstrike came over, glaring at Mousepaw. "I'd rather you'd be nice to my daughter and her friend, Mousepaw." He growled, standing in front of Wolfkit. "And I don't know, why is your name Mousepaw? Mice come in different pelt colors." He spat and hit the apprentice on the head. "You see any kit at all and make fun of them. Soon Thrushstar will know and you'll be in big trouble!"

Mousepaw growled a little when he was hit, but didn't retaliate. This is Darkstrike's kit? He thought, surprised. The tom could easily pick on kits and other apprentices and sometimes certain warriors, but he never messed with ones much bigger and stronger and who has much more authority then him. "Sorry," He mumbled. It was hard to make out what he had said because it was so low and quiet. He Wished that Frozenkit was there. She would've scolded him also, but then make him feel better and pick on him jokingly, like maybe by saying something like "You're warrior name should be Mousebrain!" and then laugh with him. Mousepaw laughed a little at the thought of the she-cat. He saw her as his best friend, and maybe even a little bit more then that...she was about his age and bound to become an apprentice sooner or later. The only thing was that Feverkit was falling head-over-tail for her also, and there was no way to stop him.

HollyKit giggled at WolfKit as she pounced on her. Then as another cat approached and began sneering and being mean she growled out. "I'm HollyKit MouseDung! I'm spikey because it shows how dangerous I am." HollyKit growled and scoffed at him.

Wolfkit froze, doing her best impression of a dead mouse. She wasn't frightened, more didn't know what to do. She pressed herself to her father's flank, trusting him to deal with the situation.

"Hollykit, don't call him names." She whispered to her friend, she was worried that the apprentice would retaliate.

Mousepaw couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah, real dangerous. How many leafs have you've tackled today?" He asked sarcastically. "And you're the Mousedung! I'm Mousepaw, not Mousedung. Get you're names straight!" It was only okay for Frozenkit to call him names. Only her.

"You're not very nice, are you?" Wolfkit spoke up from the safety of her father's flank. She truly would have preferred to wait it out and let this all fade into the past, but Mousepaw was being mean to her friend. She had to say something in Hollykit's defense.

HollyKit hissed at MousePaw and said. "What's the difference your just the same as mousedung I bet that's what your warrior name will be. I'll even recommend it to TheushStar I bet everyone will like that." She took her kit needle sharp claws and scratched the dirt before going over to a WolfKit and said. "Come on let's go and play so,we here else."

OOC: Maybe we should wait up for Cat?

IC: Mousepaw hissed and dug his claws into the ground. "You're lucky I'm not tearing you to shreds, kit! You're no better then a kittypet! You try to sound tough but you're not!" He wished Frozenkit was there to calm him down, but she wasn't. If Darkstrike didn't do something soon, Mousepaw was going to rip this kit up to shreds.

Before Darkstrike could do anything, they were fighting again. He knew Mousepaw probably would, so he barked, "Hey! Stop it!" He glared at Mousepaw. "You have defied me once. Now don't go around attacking cats just because they call you names." He turned to the kits. "You go and play. Shout if Mousepaw is being mean, okay?"

"Yes, Darkstrike." Wolfkit licked her father's cheek affectionately, and pressed herself against his flank one last time before bounding off into the direction of the elders den. She was eager to get away from this tense atmosphere. "C'mon Hollykit. I'll race you."
