A talk with the leader (Thruststar and me only)

Darkstrike sighed. He had to come clean. He went to Thrushstar's den to tell him. Hopefully he wouldn't be exiled, or.. Worse. He made a mistake and he knew Thrushstar would be mad. "Thrushstar?"

OOC: okay so what do you want to happen here? And sorry I didn't see it sooner. I just wanna clarify so I don't do something that's not supposed to happen at all cx

Thrushstar was actually taking a nap for the first time in a long time. Everything seemed to be alright for the time being and he was finally relaxing. When he heard his name, though, his head quickly shot up as his blinking eyes looked over at Darkstrike. A little puzzled, he stood up in the small space to readjust before sitting back down. "What is it Darkstrike?"

OOC: so Dark is gonna come clean and explain everything. Can we, like, not exile him, maybe?

IC: Darkstrike waited for a moment. As he saw Thrushstar, he noticed he looked tired. "I'm sooty, did I wake you?" He asked quietly. "Anyway, Ive decided to tell you about something that happened just before I became a warrior a moon ago." He said.

OOC: sure cx Shadowclan kinda needs the warriors anyway. But it's just going to take a lot for Dark to gain Thrush's trust back.

Tilting his head, slightly, the Shadowclan leader's confusion became quite more evident. What could Darkstrike have done? "Okay, what happened?" Honestly, all Thrushstar could think that he could have done was take a piece of fresh kill when he wasn't supposed to or slept in on a patrol.

He began slowly and lightly, though the impact of his words would be a lot to handle. "Thrushstar, ever since I was adopted by this Clan, I have devoted my life to making sure our Clan is protected and safe. But I made a terrible mistake." The tom sighed. "I want you to know this was not fully intentional. I never meant to do what I did. I. Killed. Dapplepelt." He sighed. "And I take full responsibility for my actions. All I wanted to do was give him a warning, and tell him not to mess with our clan ever again. He threatened me and Fennelcloud, remember? I didn't mean to kill him. I was going to give him a scratch, maybe on his face.." He looked down in shame. "But he moved and I pierced his neck.. I am ashamed of myself and I deem myself worthy to be exiled." He said with a hint of fear. "I'm sorry." His eyes filled with shame, but he stood proudly, looking straight into his leaders eyes, showing respect and that he was ready for whatever came next.

Honestly, Thrushstar didn't know how to respond. All that he knew was there was a clear look of shock on his face before it melted down into frustration... anger almost. This warrior-- no, this cat was taken in. He knew what he was supposed to do and not do, and he still broke the code. And with such a high felony! Murder? Immediately, all the Shadowclan leader could think about was Spottedstar rushing in with the other clans close behind. Yet another decimation of Shadowclan would take place. No, that wouldn't happen again. Not while Thrushstar was in charge.

Several thoughts filled his brain as Thrushstar immediately stood up and looked around, trying to find the right words. All he could think of were all of the scenarios of how this would play out in the future. More blood was spilled by Shadowclan. That's all that he could think about. Not even realizing that he was pacing his den as much as he could in the small space, it took him what seemed like forever to finally find any kind of sentence to say to the young warrior. (It was easily about 5 minutes). Taking several deep breaths to calm himself down, he turned to look at Darkstrike. "This will not go unpunished..." he hissed, still trying to keep calm. Oh Starclan why did this have to happen? Was this how they were punishing him for taking in outsiders? "Although... You have been very honest. It takes more courage than I believe I could ever have to tell your leader such news." Finally calming down some, the leader could finally think a little more clearly. "I will not exile you, but you are not free just yet. For your safety from the other clans, this does not leave this den. However, you will be demoted back down to apprentice as punishment. You will keep your name, but you will sleep with the apprentices, you will go through more training to fully understand our code under my teaching. Most importantly, you will not leave this camp without another warrior to escort you. Do I make myself clear?" he asked, narrowing his eyes at Darkstrike.

At hearing his leaders words, he lowered his ears. When he said the punishment, he gasped. "But Thrushstar! My kits!" He nearly yowled. He wouldn't be able to take this punishment. " I understand this was a felony, and I do know this punishment is fierce, but I.." A look of pure anger washed on his face. The next thing he said would be known now, how a once loner defied his leader. "Then I refuse to be in this Clan any longer!" He pounded his paw on the ground just once, thus making a point. "You are unaware of my backstory, Thrushstar. Do you want to know it? I did not mean to break your sacred code! I did not mean to kill him! It was a meek accident and misunderstanding! I wish not to receive such a shame! Though I value your beliefs, my mother would not have wanted.. Wanted this! Would you like to learn my backstory? Or shame me without a know?" He growled, making his point clear. Though not a warrior, he had spent his whole life wanting to be accepted, to be happy... But this shame was too great.

This ultimately confused the leader. Just a moment ago, the warrior seemed to be scared of exile. Thrushstar was showing mercy on him! Now he came back with wanting to leave the clan? This really was Starclan punishing him for bringing in outsiders. How could he have been so stupid? "Excuse me? You think that your punishment is shameful? You think that murdering another cat, even by accident, isn't something to be punished for?!" he asked, a sudden bout of rage building up inside of him. "This is nothing compared to what I should have done to you! As for your backstory, you don't even know ours as a clan. You don't know how much this is going to affect all of us. You weren't there to watch half of my clan get killed because of foolish actions and mistakes like yours!" the leader hissed, unsheathing his claws and digging them into the dirt underneath to try to keep himself from doing anything stupid. "If you want to leave, then so be it! Darkstrike, from now on, you are hereby exiled from Shadowclan. Once you leave, you are never allowed back. If I see you on my territory ever again, I nor any of Shadowclan will hesitate to attack or even kill you. Now get out of my sight!"

Darkstrike growled. "You. Don't. Know. ME!" He spat, and unsheathed his claws. "You honestly think I don't know? My family has heard of those cats from Twolegplace, the battles, everything! I came here to have a better life! Exile me, I don't care anymore!" He hissed. As Thrushstar yowled more at him, he wanted to scream. But he then sighed. With his little Just... Just tell Tunnelheart and Wolfkit I love them!" He said and bolted out of the den. He called over his shoulder, "AND CALL ME STRIKE FROM NOW ON!" He raced out of camp, now never to be seen again..
