The newbie

Shimmerkit, a new kit in camp, was prancing around Riverclan's camp, searching for something to do. Though it was cold out, her long fur helped her stay warm enough. "Does anyone want to play?" The she-kit asked as she peered into dens and walked around.

Another think furred kitten sat near the entrance of the nursery. Even though he had energy, he couldn't find the will to stand up and join the other kit. Where he was sitting, was comfortable and warm after his time sitting there. So, to mentally answer her question, yes he wanted to play, but no, he instead sat where he was.

Shimmerkit noticed another kit sitting near the nursery. Maybe this kit wants to play, thought the she-kit as she bounded over. "Hello, I'm Shimmerkit!" The proper way to ask someone to play, is to introduce yourself first. "I was wondering if you would like to play?" Shimmerkit flicked her tail and twitched her whiskers, then sat down.

Mousekit blinked silently, his ears rotating forward in silent intrest. "I guess...what game would it be?" Despite his comfort, he thought that she wouldn't leave him alone if he didn't play. She seemed like that kind of cat to him. A cool breeze that run though camp brought Mousekit to bring his paws closer to his body, in a vain attempt to warm himself further. His warm fur did wonders for keeping out the cold, however sometimes he could not prevent the chills. Pausing, he looked back at the other kit. "Oh, and my name is Mousekit."

"It could be any game you want," answered Shimmerkit. "And It's nice to meet you, Mousekit." Shimmerkit had learned that the more you moved around, the more warm you'll be, so she hoped that Mousekit picked a game that involved running around. "I was thinking we could play a game called chase, it's kinda like tag and hide-and-seek mixed together, but whatever you wanna play is fine."

Two head poked out of the nursery before two silver she kits padded out. Silverkit and Streamkit had heard who wants to play and they had padded out. Silverkit padded ahead of her sister"mind if me and my sister joined?"she asked.

Shimmerkit turned to the two she-cats. "You can join," she said. "The more people, the more fun!"

Mousekit watched silently as the two other kittens appeared out of the den behind him. They obviously wanted to play as well, however, this brought the matter of the game... Tilting his head to the side, Mousekit narrowed his amber eyes in a questioning manner. "How do you play 'Chase'?" It was a valid question to Mousekit. What kind of variation of hide and seek with tag did the game have? Waiting for Shimmerkit's response, he flicked his fluffy tail over his paws, posing himself neatly.

Shimmerkit positioned herself so that she could be facing all three other cats at once. "Well, one cat is 'it' and the others have to hide while the cat that is 'it' counts to twenty, then the 'it' cat has to find all the other cats. If you are hiding and you are found, you have to run away while the 'it' cat chases you. There can be a certain safe spot, that if you touch it, you are safe from the cat chasing you. If the 'it' person tags one of the cats that hid while he or she is chasing him or her, then that cat is the next 'it cat'. Does that make sense?" Shimmerkit looked at each of the cats, waiting for a reply.
