Sad Downpours

Showerpaw thought for a moment. "The kind you eat. They all taste the same to me." She laughed, then turned her focus to the water. "I haven't done this much before, but your opposed to keep your shadow away from the water, then, you stick your paw in, and when a fish swims by, you scoop it out and kill it." She stuck her paw in and waited for a fish to come by. "And you have to be really quiet."

Lightningpaw hooded, a bit confused. "Wouldn't the fish swim away from you if they saw your paw?" He mewed, trying to fish anyway.

Showerpaw shook her head. "Not if your completely still, and plus, their brain is so small, I bet they don't even know what our paws are." She scanned the waters, searching for fish.

Lightningpaw squinted at the water. A few heartbeats later, a minnow floated into view. He smiled, and moved his shadow. The tom reached into the water and attempted to scoop out the fish, but it swam into a rock, disappearing from view. "Aww.." he muttered quietly.

Showerpaw laughed, then focused on fishing. One medium sized fish swam by, and Showerpaw scooped at it, missing only by a little. "Aww, I missed to!" After a little bit, another fish came by. Showerpaw scooped at it at the right moment, but missed that one as well. "Hmm, I think your causing me bad luck," Showerpaw joked.

Lightningpaw scooped the tiniest fish out onto land and stared at it. "Really?" He mewed.
