Coalpaw walked out of the apprentice den struck by seeing the badgers. "Uhh I.." She gasped for air hert beating quicker and quicker. In desperation she backed away running into the warriors den. "Badger!!" She yowled hoping to make herself clear and heard.
Hearing crashing and roaring, Scorchclaw's head shot up from where it was while he was sleeping. Without bothering to clean his pelt the warrior thrust past Coalpaw only to see devastation brewing. Many badgers were storming through the camp entrance, thrashing their heads around with malice in their beady eyes. "Badger attack!" He yowled louder. "Everyone wake up! Badger's are attacking!" The large tom called into the warriors in their den. "Coalpaw, go get the apprentices, I'll warn the queens and Thrushstar, but be careful." He instructed before sprinting to the nursery to warn them. Scorchclaw then bounded to the leader's den, swiftly dodging a blow from a large badger and fitting in a few scratches to it's ear before entering the den. "Thrushstar," He panted. "Badger's are attacking the camp." The experienced warrior then leaped back out into the open and in a single bound he landed on the side of his previous attacker. Scorchclaw then began to sink his long claws into it's shoulders while his hind claws held him in place.

Badger attack? Scorchclaw's yowls caused Bearmask to awake, her head shooting up as her eyes flashed open. She quickly clambered to her feet before darting out of the den, only to slide to a stop the moment she saw the group of great, black and white beasts. Fear quickly struck the shy she-cat, and her ears fell back with a soft hiss, but she took a small step back. Badgers...Oh, StarClan, badgers. The young warrior had never been in a battle before; not even against other cats, but badgers? There was no way she could defeat them, she wasn't any good at fighting but...She stood there, trying to find out what exactly to do as she waited for the rest of her Clan to awaken to fight this threat; being to afraid to attack but not willing to back down from where she stood not far from the warrior's den.
Coalpaw nodded at his mentor before running off into the den. "Wake up,Muddypaw Sleetpaw Cloudypaw Poppypaw Fennelpaw Dirtpaw Hardpaw and Marshpaw!" He said each name and then ran out. Coalpaw was out of breath when he reached Scorchclaw. "I got most of them." He looked behind his back to see if they had followed.

Cloudypaw rushed out, and after watching the flurry of cats moving except a few, went to Bearmask's side. "So these are badgers... Momma, I'll do my best!" She then looked at her mother. This would be her first real fight, and one she hoped would go well. Cloudypaw took a deep breath. She'd be fine...
The moment she heard her daughter's voice, Bearmask froze. Her gaze shifted swiftly to look at the white and grey apprentice, almost wanting to tell her not to fight...Not to be in harms way but they were ShadowClan, weren't they? They would stand tall in the face of danger, and besides; there was no way Bearmask would sit idle as her daughter fought against these great beasts. As Cloudlypaw's mother, it was her job to protect her. "I'm sure you will," Bearmask whispered softly, her tail flicking "Just...Try to stay safe," she said, glancing at the badgers. These badgers...There was no more time to just sit there; they would not wait until every cat was ready to fight them. She prayed to StarClan that the rest of the Clan would be awake soon enough to fight these badgers, as she took a deep breath and charged forwards.
She was scared; as scared as she ever had been in her life but she couldn't back down; her Clan needed her. Bearmask didn't bother to look back to see if her daughter was following her, she was just worried about keeping everyone safe. Cloudlypaw, Tigerclaw, Ebonyleaf, Bluestrike, Thrushstar, Mistflower; everyone that she cared for had their life on the line if they failed to defeat these badgers; and there was no way in StarClan she was going to let anybody hurt them. Her claws slide out as she raced toward the closest badger, slashing at it with all of her might. The badger tried to slash back, but she swiftly moved out of the way, almost. The black and brown warrior felt tip of the badger's claws race across her pelt, drawing a bit of blood in their wake but that wasn't going to stop Bearmask; she barely paid any attention to the wound as she waited for the rest of her Clan to awake to fight this force.
OOC: I am going to apologize ahead of time if this post sounds really stupid. I'm exhausted right now ;w;
Badgers are attacking camp. Oh Starclan. That was the last thing that Thrushstar wanted to hear. When Scorchclaw warned him, the Shadowclan leader jumped out of his den and darted into the clearing to see not one or two badgers, but a lot. All of them coming this way. He had heard of this one other time, and unfortunately that called for Shadowclan fleeing their camp and seeing refuge in Riverclan. Like that was ever going to happen again. All this was was just a test. This was a test of Shadowclan's strength. Their battle training was going to pay off now... he hoped. Instantly, he charged at one of the bagdgers, instantly raking his claws down the creature's side. It howled in pain before turning to him and trying to attack with its large claws. Jumping away quickly, he turned to the others already in the clearing. "Keep them away from the kits!" He yowled, his mind quickly trailing to Mistflower and their kits. Oh Starclan, keep them safe. He couldnt bear to lose anyone else. But of course, as soon as his thoughts drifted, he felt the back of the badger's paw ram into his head and knock him to the ground, sending his vision spinning and his balance out of whack. Trying to get up, he turned to see the badger lumbering towards him.
Fennelpaw was up and out as soon as Coalpaw came to warn them. She had been waiting for a moment like this! Maybe not against badgers, but she wanted to show off her strength and impress Thrushstar and Cormorantpelt as well as some of the warriors! She wasn't a pushover. She could take care of herself. When she finally got into the clearing, though, it was something she had never seen before. It was almost a nightmare. Several badgers breaking through the walls and ripping through camp. It was insanity. She almost froze in her spot until she saw one of the creatures hovering over Thrushstar. Instantly, she darted through the madness and lashed out her claws at the large animal as hard as she could. "Don't mess with my father!" She hissed, finally ripping through the thick fur and finally scratching the animal, although it barely had an effect.

After Thrushstar had entered that battle, the senior warrior Scorchclaw followed in his footsteps and began attacking another badger that was getting dangerously close to the nursery. "Return to where you came from, mange-pelt!" The dark tabby hissed as he darted to one side of the badger and swiped his strong white claws at its flank. The black and white demon howled and swung its massive striped head around to knock the feline down. With the breath rushed out of him Scorchclaw immediately attempted to get up, but the badger had already reared up to slam its huge paws onto him. Then with a last effort the warrior pushed himself up as the badger slowly stood up on hind legs and mercilessy slashed his claws through the flesh of the badgers belly. Blood poured onto Scorchclaw while the badger realised how badly injured it was before lumbering away back into the forest. "That's right, you stay out."

Cloudypaw rushed to protect the nursery, and pounced on the closest badger. She scratched it and bit at it for a time before it stopped moving. She felt a bit sick when she saw the blood on her paws, but forced it back. She had to protect the kits. The apprentice made it her self-made duty to attack the closest badgers to keep them at bay, but knew she'd stop if another got closer. She'd rather handle two injured badgers than one good one that was rushing the nursery.
