Goodbye, my kits. I can't live with you in another Clan and your mother up in StarClan.

The moon sat high in Silverpelt as Minnowflash sat by the river bank. Looking up at the stars, he imagined that the biggest one was his former mate Coalheart. "I'll see you in StarClan." The distraught warrior then looked at his paws where five small Deathberries lay. He knew that what he was about to do could change the lives of his two surviving kits Lightningkit and Cloudkit.

Minnowflash's mate had died giving birth to four kits, two of whom were with her in StarClan, and when ThunderClan cats came along they took away his children, leaving him to suffer. Fury and hatred had built up inside the small silver feline but with it was also grief and despair, which brought him to the River, his final resting place.

The soon-to-be-dead tom cast his icy blue gaze over RiverClan territory, then moved it up to the black and star-speckle sky before resting it on the other side of the river. Then without looking Minnowflash picke up the berries and at them, chewing quickly. When the poison began to kick in and speed up his heart rate, shaking his body and summoning horrific convulsions and black-frothed gurgling, he collapsed into the water. The fast-moving liquid tossed him and turned him, thrusting him into rocks while his legs mingled with weeds. There was no way that Minnowflash could survive eating poisonous berries as well as being washed away underwater.

Finally, after the poison had possessed him and the water had claimed him, the dead warrior ended up not far from Sunningrocks on the ThunderClan side of the churning river, all evidence of the Deathberries washed away. Minnowflash's soaked pelt was still and his glazed over milky blue eyes stared at nothing. Then his spirit arose from the lifeless body as it walked along a path of stars up to StarClan, where he greeted his mate Coalheart with many licks and purrs.

Back at the ThunderClan camp, Lightningkit was whimpering in his sleep. The nightmare that was taking place was of his father committing suicide, but little did the kit know, the horrible dream was true..

OOC: Let's say that Cloudkit is at TC camp and then Lightningkit helps her escape to RiverClan, if that is Ok.

Twitching in her sleep, a small bundle of fluffy light grey and white fur named Cloudkit was having a dream. No, a nightmare. "N-no, Father....mmno.." She whimpered and cuddled up closer to her brother Lightningkit. They were both taken to ThunderClan camp after the medicine cat, an apprentice, a warrior and the deputy had found them and their father grieving for their dead siblings and mother.

Lightningkit cuddled closer to Cloudkit; this dream was scaring him. The image kept replaying their father downing the deathberries, then struggling in the river. No, no, don't watch Lightningkit! It'll only make you even more scared! His yellow eyes snapped open, and he was sweating. I need to see if the nightmare is true, and I'll take Cloudkit! A plan formed its way into his head, and if anyone was watching him, they could probably see the wheels turning furiously in his brain. The plan was brilliant, for a kit at least. They'd sneak out of the nursery, and hurry to the shadows of the camp. There, they'd go out through the dirtplace tunnel, and then find the RiverClan camp. He gently shook his littermate awake. "Cloudkit! I have a plan to get out of camp and see Dad!" he mewed softly.

OOC: Okay. Does the plan sound alright?

OOC: Yep, shall I make a post in TC camp where they sneak out, this was really a death topic so I could be added to the Deceased list and then another post where they find Minnow?

With a glance at her paws the small kit shuffled to get into a better position. "W-well I had a nightmare and Dad...." Cloudkit sniffed. "I'm really worried so let's go find him." Gathering herself together she looked up to Lightningkit, a blue fire or determination on her eyes. "Okay, what's your plan?"

OOC: Okay. Yeah, that sounds good.

Lightningkit ran the plan through his head and nodded. "Well, we'll sneak out of the nursery and stick to the shadows. Then, we'll run through the dirtplace tunnel, and circle back around. We should be able to find RiverClan camp after that." he meowed quietly.

With a deep breath, Cloudkit nodded. "Ok, let's go." She breathed before shaking her pelt and leaving the ThunderClan nursery for good.

Lightningkit looked around and saw the spirit of his mother, Coalheart, walking along beside them. She seemed different some how, more..transparent. He squeaked as she turned her head to look at the gray kit. Coalheart's green eyes glowed with a misty glint. "Cloudkit! Look!" he squeaked quietly.

Cloudkit, look!

She squeal caught her attention and she turned her head, only to see her brother gaping at the starry figure of their mother. "Mum?" Cloudkit breathed, her misty blue eyes opening.

Ooc- I hope you don't mind

Ic- A white head shot up in the warriors den, panting and fur on end. A nightmare of brackish water, frothing and menacing. The flood from long ago was still a seemingly recent memory, sometimes haunting his sleep without mercy.

Taking deep breaths, Ashcloud attempted to calm himself down. But no matter what happened, the shadows in camp seemed to sway; forming themselves into great, dark waves. Giving his head a shake, the water was gone. Stepping out, he looked up towards the waxing moon. Something felt off tonight, and frustrated at why this might be, the tom walked out into Riverclan territory, white fur gleaming in the bright moonlight. Soon enough, he found himself at the river separating his clan from Thunderclan.

He walked slowly along the bank, his pale paws getting slightly dirty from the mud. Something on the other bank caught his eye. At first he thought it had simply been a stone from the nearby Sunningrocks, until he took a few steps into the water for a closer look. It wasn't a rock. It was his friend, Minnowflash, dead and fur streaked with mud. Speechless, he rushed to where his fellow warrior lay. He stammered at the deceased cat. "H-How? Why-what..?"

OOC: The kits are still at TC camp, planning an escape to find their father and so Cloudkit can like in RiverClan. We may need someone to make their escape a little more challenging so, only if you want to, you could post in our topic 'The Great Escape'. We had a plan that they don't get caught, but it just adds to the suspense c:

Battered and bruised, the dead cat that lay on the bank while small waves lapped at his hind-quarters. There was mud streaked down his fur, which used to be a shiny silver, and his normally icy blue eyes were now a milky colour.

However he lived on in StarClan, healthy as ever and re-united with his mate and two dead kits while they watched the lives continue for their two remaining kits.
