Observation [Open]

Dirtkit followed his nose out of the Nursery. He had caught the strong scent of fresh kill almost as soon as it had entered the camp. The mouse was now in his sights, but the older kit hesitated. He had learned that it was better to let the older warriors get their fill of food first, but they always chose the best from the pile. The dark kit growled at himself, choosing to stealthily sneak over to the pile and drag the dead animal away somewhere where he could eat it in solitude. There was only one problem: his small stature didn't allow him to be able to get a good enough grip on the potential food. Oh come on! It shouldn't be too hard... The dark pelted tom tugged as hard as he could on the prey, hoping that he wouldn't attract any unwanted attention...

Scratchclaw padded into the camp and saw a kit sneaking a piece of fresh kill. However, the kill slipped from his grasp and fell onto the ground. He smiled and trotted over. "Need help getting that somewhere?" he asked.

Dirtkit flattened his ears against his head as he heard a tom's meow come from behind him. He scrambled away from the pile and tried to look as though he hadn't been doing what he had just been doing. "N-No..." he replied, averting his eyes from the warrior standing before him.

Coalkit watched from behind he giggled to himself. Then his nervous got the best if him he coward in the shadows hoping no cat saw him.

Jaypaws tail twitched in ammusment finishing up his frog quickly trotting over his ears perked. 
"Ah it looks like Another kitsout of the nursery." Jaypaw mewed glancing at the Dirtkit his ear flicking backwards and his rather long whiskers slightly twitched in ammusement.

Dirtkit's ears pricked up at the slightest sound he caught from within the shadows. He made a sharp intake of breath to catch the other cat's scent. "Come out, spy!" he growled to the onlooker, daring them to show themselves. He quickly redirected his attention to the taller, somewhat older cat now standing before him. He didn't say a word but only narrowed his eyes in annoyance toward their remark; sure, he didn't know much about the clans, but he knew enough to know he was ranked the lowest right now and he didn't wish to be treated as such.

Coalkit winced. "I didn't mean anything it's just.." His voice trailed of as he smiled, this cat was funny to watch. "Well why did you try this?" His curiosity got the best of him as he cocked his head. Coalkit regretted it almost as soon as it was out, but the words seemed to hang in the air above them.

"Well, I was hungry," he stated with a roll of his eyes before continuing with his statement, "and I'm sick of seeing the warriors get first go at the good food while we just get scraps!" His last comment threw caution to the wind, but Dirtkit, for once, didn't take heed of it. This was how he felt towards this, and he felt obligated to show that.

Coalkit took a step back at this show. "Well then, that makes sense." He said considering it. For a short moment he felt non-shy. Then it all came back, he blinked steadily and nodded slowly.

Scratchpaw laughed. "Okay then!" he chuckled.

Badgerpaw padded up behind the tiny Dirtkit. "I for one, agree with him," his booming voice said as his tail flicked at Dirtkit. He padded over him, the hair on his stomach brushing against Dirtkit's fur on his back and head. He picked up a pice from the Freshkill pile, and started to eat. "But, if the kits did get to eat first, then there wouldn't be enough for the apprentices because you would hog it all. At least we spare some for you cute little guys." He rubbed his massive paw on Dirtkit's head, messing up his fur.

A tiny smile appeared on Scratchpaw's face. He turned around, looking for something to do.

Coalkit was confused and nervous but he was bored witch led to one thing that exiled shyness. "Any cat want to play hide and seek or mossball?" He asked eyes gleaming excitedly.

Dirtkit growled as the bigger apprentice towered over him and mussed up his fur. If there was one thing Dirtkit hated, it was anything having to do with his height. But, he had enough sense to know that now wasn't the time to start a fight with another cat, besides the fact that the odds were greatly stacked against him. Just you wait, when I'm an apprentice, I'll show you who's boss!
Dirtkit moved away from the taller apprentice, grabbing his own piece of fresh kill- that was more his size- and shooting glares toward the other cat.
