Lets catch some prey! (For Midnight and other apprentices who wants to join)

"Good. Bury it where you can find it. We're not done here yet. Who's ready to fish?" He asked the apprentices.

Lilypaw watched Shallowpaw quietly, as the apprentice caught the bird. Wow! Hearing Midnightsky mention fish, Lilypaw's ears flicked, excitement surging through. "I do!" the she-cat meowed, eyes glowing in hope. Lilypaw had always loved the taste of fish.

Shallowpaw nodded and buried the prey. His ears perked as he heard the word 'fish'. He licked his chops. "I'm ready to fish!" He replied.

"Head to the river. Remember to keep your shadows out of the water. Scoop the fish out then hit it to land, far away from water unless you want to have it wiggle back to the river." He mewed, lucking his fur. "Come on. Let's go."

Shallowpaw stalked towards the river, noting that his shadow was in danger of hitting the water. The cat shifted his position, and the shadow moved away. Okay. Shadow taken care of...Be silent.. He crept up, making sure that his paws didn't set off any noise. Looking around, he saw a fair-sized fish by the bank. Shallowpaw's paw flashed out quick as lightning and scooped up the fish. It landed about three fox-lengths from the water. The fish flopped once, then was still.

"Good work, Shallowpaw. You'll make a great hunter." He mewed and looked it the river. It was a slow current today so it should be safe enough if one of them falls in.

Lilypaw watched Shallowpaw catch the fish. He seems like a good hunter; catching both a bird and fish, she thought, as the she-cat padded towards the river. Following Midnightsky's step to not show your shadow, Lilypaw had that covered, and watched the slow current of the water drift. Waiting patiently, Lilypaw spotted something swimming through the river. Fish! Excitement surged through, despite keeping quiet. Lilypaw slowly held out her white paw, as she unsheathed her claws and quickly snatched the fish. Since the fish was slippery, the fish slipped and flung out of her grasp and onto the marshy ground. Lilypaw leaped from her position and held the fish down, biting it. Grasping the fish in her jaws, the apprentice felt delighted of its taste. She sat down with the fish in her mouth gazing at her mentor, feeling a small pride in her catch, although being a fish.

"Great work, Lilypaw. Try to have a better grip on the fish." He padded down to the river bank. "Let's catch a few more."

Shallowpaw watched Lilypaw hunt. As she caught a fish, he smiled. She's a good hunter! Upon hearing Minnowflash's words, Shallowpaw nodded and slunk forward, swiftly darting a small paw out to snag a fish. The fish soared up into the air, and landed with a plop on the bank. Like the fish before, it flopped once then lay still.

"Maybe next time we can go to the twoleg barn and try to catch some mice there." Midnightsky said and scooped a fish out of the water.

Shallowpaw smiled and kept fishing. "Okay," he meowed cheerfully.

Snowpaw slowly trotted towards the other cats. She stayed low and she flicked her tail. "M-mind if I join?" Her eyes were glued to all of the cats.

Shallowpaw shook his head and shrugged. "I don't mind," he meowed.

Snowpaw watched the other cats hunt. She tilted her head. I hunt different then they do... She nodded her head at Shallowpaw before she leaped inside the river. She held her breath and put her head under water. She saw a fish and she quickly swam to it. The apprentice grabbed (After seconds of chasing it in the water) and jumped out of the river. She shook off the water and sat by the shore. Snowpaw then placed the fish down and blinked her eyes a couple of times.

Shallowpaw stepped back quickly as Snowpaw sent droplets of water flying, and some hit his face.
