July Gathering 2014 [PLOT]

A pale cold moon hung in a starless sky, and the cold night air was alive with hate, nervousness, and the songs of insects. It felt like if one cat made just one misstep, everything would boil over and explode into a frenzy of claws and teeth.

That's how Reedstar felt anyways as he led his Clan into the clearing. Everyone was on edge after what happened last time, and even after a whole moon to process it all, he could still hardly believe it. Silentstar had returned. SkyClan had returned. And they were at war. If it had been up to him, he wouldn't have brought RiverClan to Fourtrees at all tonight, but tradition demanded they go. It was one night of peace, but a truce was a delicate thing, and only as good as the Clans' willingness to uphold it. It'd only take one word, one shove, one dirty look, and the peaceful Gathering would descend into madness.

As he clambered up the Great Rock, he couldn't help but wonder if ShadowClan would return. Their medicine cat claimed that Nightstar had died, and that her deputy had taken her place. Whoever that deputy was...

Shimmerpaw followed Reedstar happily through the territory, instead of walking she was bouncing from excitement. She never had been to a gathering before, although, she had been to fourtrees. As Riverclan poured into the clearing, she looked around for Shallowpaw. She wanted to sit by him during the gathering.

Shallowpaw trotted into the clearing, looking around. Seeing Shimmerpaw, he quickly padded over to her and sat next to his friend. "I can't wait to see what it's like! And this place.. It's so..big!" he purred.

OOC: Ill wait for Sun. If she doesn't post in a day or two and the gathering is about to start. Ill post.

Lilypaw looked around for her mentor, Midnightsky. She felt more safe to be with him from all the cats in different Clans, although having a truce. This was the she-cat's first Gathering, also the first time seeing Fourtrees. Mentally noting where the Fourtrees resides (whereas apprentices needs to know and understand where such things are), the path didn't seem so hard to remember, including the scents of her surroundings. Following Reedstar and her fellow Clanmates in excitement to set her gaze on the Great Rock, her Clan finally arrived, as the apprentice's eyes shined from the moonlight in amazement of how big this 'Great Rock' is. Feeling a chill up her spine in nervousness to meet these four other Clans, Lilypaw tried her best to not show her feelings, or worse, carrying the scent of fear. Fluffing out her grey fur, the she-cat calmly sat down, gazing among the cats in hope to find Midnightsky, or to be with anyone else she knew. I don't want to make too much friends from different Clans... soon, we would one day go to battle... how troublesome that would be to meet them at a Gathering after hurting them so badly, to simply defend your Clan?

Ashcloud followed the familiar path to the clearing, along with his clan. He felt incredibly wary now. After seeing; no, taking part in the attack on Thunderclan, the white tom had seen the manpower that Skyclan had conjured up. They indeed were not a force to be tampered with. Four clans had seemed to have taken a side in this growing war that began seemingly out of nowhere, only Shadowclan had yet to take part to his knowledge. His banded tail held high, the Riverclan cat sat and waited for the many other clan cats to arrive. 'This Gathering will surely be interesting.'

Raggedypelt followed the rest of RiverClan, before going and sitting in the shade of one of the four trees, hoping no other cat would notice him.

Shallowpaw looked around and saw other cats gathering around. A movement in the bushes caught his attention. He turned toward the bushes and saw Raggedypelt. Shallowpaw looked back at the Great Rock.

It was his first gathering, but he wasn't exactly feeling excited about it. In fact, he was so uneasy it felt like his fur was crawling. Of course, he had been careful to groom and check - and every hair was in it's place. But he couldn't help but worry. So many cats - and tensions. Something was bound to go wrong, truce or no.

Still, it wasn't like he would miss his first gathering - he could always keep close to his clanmates, because surely they had to stick together at a time like this. Entering the clearing, he spotted some of the other apprentices, and made his way over to them.

"Looks like we're the first to arrive." He mewed conversationally, but the pricking in his pelt made it hard for him to relax. Did that mean something was wrong in the other clans? A bad sign?

These were dark times indeed. Despite nearly every instinct telling him to stay in camp, to protest this facade of a gathering, he knew that it would make WindClan appear weak to not show, so here Falconstar was, leading his clan into the Gathering. RiverClan had made it first, so Falconstar made it a point to ignore Reedstar completely as he made his way up onto the Great Rock. Instead of the usual pleasantries, he deliberately faced forward, allowing himself prejudice to make every RiverClan cat culpable for their leader's decision, unfair though that may have been.

Eaglethorn made it a point to ignore RiverClan as well, though that was more of his father's choice for him rather than his own. If it had been up to him, he would've put claws on every foxheart he saw, StarClan be damned. Instead, he just contended himself with glowering at them, sitting with some other WindClan warriors.

A nervous yet excited Minowflash entered Fourtrees, his silver pelt stark against other cats' dark colours. He padded up to his friend Ashcloud and sat down. "I wonder if ShadowClan will turn up." He thought aloud.

A thin, dark and raggedy pelt emerged from the bushes that lined the hollow. Mistheart walked on weak legs which was unusual for the young warrior in early green-leaf. Mistheart sat in a clear spot where no other cats would come and pester her, but, her overprotective brother Thornclaw came and plonked his muscular frame down next to her.

Lilypaw's head turned to Heronpaw's mew. Might as well join him, the she-cat thought, heading to his direction. "Is this your first time-" Lilypaw asked, "I mean, your first Gathering?" Without waiting for a reply, the apprentice continued. "This is my first time, both being at a Gathering and Fourtrees!" Feeling a bit less nervous for the other Clans to arrive, Lilypaw sat next to Heronpaw, gazing around the RiverClan cats. "I gotta' admit, this Gathering would be disappointing if the Clans didn't arrive," she purred, acknowledging Heronpaw's fact that RiverClan were first to arrive. "Maybe, the other Clans are just too scared to show their faces to fast, fish-hunters like us!" the apprentice joked.

Frostcloud ear twitched nervously before she entered the clearing, her icyblue eyes sparkling in the moonlight. Amd quickly leaping after the others. Her ears perking, as reedstar cllimbed up the rock and falconstar quickly joining him. Giving her pelt a quick shake she settled down next to minniowflash mewing a hello and tuckkng her paws under herself.


Crystalpaw leaped from the ferns, looking as happy as always. Her ears perked when she looked up at the full moon letting out a small gasp. "Oh! Its beautiful!" She mewed in awe her ear swerving as she saw her clan move quickly keeping up with them she sat alone close to the place the leaders sat at. My first gathering! She thought quietly to herself wrapping her tail around her paws.

Heatherpaw padded into the clearing with the rest of her Clanmates. Looking around, she spotted two apprentices sitting together. She trotted up to them and sat down. "Hey. Who're you?" she asked the tabby and the gray cat.

Shallowpaw looked up to see a golden she-cat trot toward them. "Shallowpaw of RiverClan." he answered. "Who're you?" he asked, though he guessed she was from WindClan from the moor scent.

Cloverbreeze followed Falconstar and Eaglethorn, along with the rest of the clan into the gathering. Of course Riverclan would have been here first. She followed the example of her leader and for the most part ignored the other clan. She was a newly appointed warrior and had no friendly ties to Riverclan so ignoring them would be the easy part.
