A New Kitty

Scarletkit ran out in the middle of the clearing. She quickly looked for something to do. "Anyone here?"

Heatherpaw stopped eating her rabbit and looked at the kit. "I am, silly!" she mrrowed.  "So, are you bored?"

"Oh hi there! I didn't see you there! And yeah, I'm totally bored right now!" Scarletkit jumped up after she replied. She is very talkative and hyper-- it takes a lot to tire her. She looked at the rabbit next to the cat. "Oh! Can I have some? Can I? Oh can I have some?"

Heatherpaw purred. "Yes, you can have some. Have you tried it before?"

Scarletkit dashed to the rabbit and ate a chunk of it before she answered the cat's question. "YUM! Thank you, I've never had it before! This is my first time eating it!"

Heatherpaw purred. "Your welcome!"

Scarletkit smiled at the cat. "So, what's your name?" She flicked her tail.

"I'm Heatherpaw. Who're you?" she asked, happy that she could make friends with most kits.

Scarletkit stood up high. "I'm Scarlet, the mighty kit!" She purred and pricked her ears.

Heatherpaw purred. "Okay then! How's that rabbit, mighty kit?"

"That rabbit was delicious!" The mighty kit replied.

Heatherpaw purred and wrapped her tail around her paws. "So, anything you want to do?"

"Hmm... I don't know! Oh oh! Can I tell you a story?!" Scarletkit jumped up and down.

Heatherpaw laughed and settled in. "Sure, kit!"

"One day I was sleeping by a rock, and my friend crept up on me. When he jumped on me, I screamed so loud that the birds got scared and I woke up a couple of warriors. They teased me and called me 'Scarlet the scream'! What an awful name! And by the way... this story came from my dream!" Scarletkit jumped up again in happiness.
