Frostpaw's battle training

It was time for training. As Ryefur stood at the entrance of the camp, a bit nervous. This was his first time training, but he took a deep breath. He could do this...He knew the moves, and he could do this. So, he waited for Frostpaw so that they could go out and start the battle training.

Frostpaw got to her paws peering out of the apprentice den looking around at camp to see ryefur standing besides the camp entrance a small smile grew on frostpaws face. Today the apprentice would start her first day of traning padding out she bounded over to ryefur "Morning ryefur!" She mewed happily.

"Ah, there you are, Frostpaw," Ryefur said with a grin as he noticed his apprentice walk up. His tail flickered as he beckoned toward the territory. "Shall we head out?" he said. However, he barely waited for an answer before he turned and headed into the territory, only looking back to make sure that his apprentice was following. As they reached the clearing that they were going to train in, he turned to face Frostpaw. "Are you ready?"

Frostpaw bounded after ryefur eagerly studying parts of the territory as she bounded after her mentor not watching where she was going she nearly crashed into him. Her ears perked as she glanced around the clearing and nodded "Yep yep im ready ryefur!" Frostpaw beamed eagerly she was ready to watch and listen intently she wanted to be the best apprentice that she could, she was glad reedstar had given her a great mentor.

Ryefur grinned as he paused slightly, wondering what move to show off first. Finally, he made a choice with a small nod of his head. "Alright! The first move I am going to show you is the Front-Paw Strike. Now, it is a rather simple move." He let the claws of one of his paws to slide out, and he sliced the air with it. He chuckled softly as he looked at his apprentice. "Think you can do that, Frostpaw?" he asked with a large grin.

Ryefur used Front-Paw Strike on the air, dealing 0 damage and costing 0 stamina.*

*I only am putting 0 for both cause this isn't a real battle.

Occ: Battle System Explanation time!

So! The battle system. Its rather easy to use when you know how to use it. Lets start out with your rank. Your rank is that of an apprentice, which gives you 20 health and 80 SP. However, your HP and SP will change as you become a warrior and the longer you are a warrior, your rank changes. This here is the rank list.

Lets look at my rank My own rank is that of a Young Warrior, because I've been a warrior for just over two months now. That makes my HP 45, and my SP be 160. Normally in battle, we put our HP and SP something like this:

Ryefur:
45/45 HP
160/160 SP

Now to fighting itself. This is where the list of battle moves is. Using this shows what moves you can use, how much SP they cost and the damage they do. As an apprentice, you can only use the first six moves but you also can use RiverClan's two Clan Only Moves; Underwater Push-Off and Underwater Clinch. As you go up in ranks, you can unlock more moves and the damage you do will increase.

As Ryefur have just shown off Front-Paw Strike above, we will use that for down here also. Now, Front-Paw Strike is a simple move, and thus only costs 10 SP/Stamina. The damage that it does, like I said above, changes on your rank. For example, Ryefur, as a Young Warrior, would do 17 damage but as an Apprentice, Frostpaw would only do 14 damage. Noting the damage is important, as it is the main factor to the fight. As I did above, when you use your move it is mainly stated at this in posts:

Ryefur used Front-Paw Strike on (Put Foe here), dealing 17 damage and costing 10 stamina.

This is a good way to do it, as it states what you are doing, who are you attacking (if it isn't clear in posts), the damage you are doing and how much it cost to do so. So, for the foe that Ryefur is fighting in this example, lets say he is fighting a cat from WindClan named...Boulderfoot. Now Boulderfoot is the same rank as Ryefur, and so has the same health and SP. But he has just taken damage from Ryefur, so is no longer at full health. Now normally in battle, it is a good idea to put both your cat and the cat you are fighting health and SP, so it is more easier to keep track of (so your foe could like copy and paste to save time.)  would look like:

Ryefur:
45/45 HP
150/160 SP

Boulderfoot:
28/45 HP
160/160 SP

As you can see, I have taken away 10 of my SP, and 17 of Boulderfoot's HP. After that, it would be Boulderfoot's turn so you would simply just have to wait for him to post and then, after a turn is done (in small battles like that at a border, you should wait for everybody to post before starting the next turn) you post again! It keeps going like that until one side has won. As you can guess, losing all of your HP means that you are out. It normally means that you are just knocked out for the battle, but only if you want to, your cat can die. However, losing all of your SP is very bad. It means you are worn out and is unable to battle, but that rarely happens before you get knocked out.

Now, in a large battle like the one in SkyClan's Revenge, it can be very troublesome trying to keep track of who is fighting who (and whose turn it is) but do try to read all posts cause who knows if your cat gets attacked by somebody else and gets knocked out.
