Down with the Sickness

Sleetpaw was in the apprentice's den peacefully resting when all of the sudden the pale she-cat awoke with a cough. After the fit was done the she-cat tried to go back to sleep but the cough came back. With a grunt the she-cat stood from her spot in her nest and walked out of the den. 'The sun is just about the set' the apprentice noticed 'maybe Ebonyleaf would be awake..' Sleetpaw thought with weary eyes. Slowly she dragged herself over to the medicine den and poked her head inside, "Ebonyleaf?" The apprentice coughed again, "Are you awake?"

Ebonyleaf was laid curled up in her nest, having woken up in the night and having trouble getting rest again, she'd finally fallen asleep when she was awoken again by the sound of her name. She lifted her head, turning to look at the entering apprentice, suddenly attentive when she noticed the coughing. "Sleetpaw?" she mewed, "What's wrong?"

"I'm sorry to wake you, but it seems I have a cough.." The pale apprentice said, coughing shortly afterwards. The apprentice scolded herself for a moment because Ebonyleaf probably already knew she had a cough.
