Meeting of Meddies

Honeyleaf stood around the highpines looking around for some herbs, due to the recent move in the honey colored Medicine Cat had to learn where all the herbs were around the terriotry. Honeyleaf could smell the other clans scent markers but she didn't really pay any mind. Clan borders weren't for Medicine Cats though she was careful not to cross them because some others didn't really respect them as a clan. So far the cat had found some moss and cobwebs which she had gathered but she felt something eluded her here but she couldn't figure out what.

Silverpool padded after Honeyleaf's scent, knowing she was after herbs. Padding up behind her, she mewed. "Where should we look first?" Ever since she had joined the clan, she knew that she wanted to be a medicine cat. Helping her... clanmates, was the best thought. She never wanted a cat to be hurt again, nor an animal unless it was for safety. Twolegs always threw stuff at her whenever she passed by, thinking she was a nuisance. Her mother sheltered then from the blows when they were young, but she was the only one to make it. Her mother could only carry one kit at a time. And each move they went, one more kit died. Until it was left to her. Shaking her head, she looked to Honeyleaf again.

Ebonyleaf was on an herb hunt of her own, having left late at night and walking around early in the morning. She was tired and her sleeping schedule would surely be thrown off, but it was nothing she could handle, though. Since having three queens in the nursery after so many moons, and expecting more kits on the way, she was running low on certain supplies that she was eager to stock up on. Some were rare and on the edge of the territory, but she had to gather them sometime, right? The scent of WindClan's borders were always a bit dull, especially compared to the ones on the edge of the moor, but today these seemed especially dim, replaced by the scents of cats completely different.

A bit curious, she padded along the border's edge, hiding behind the trees and the shadows and peering around curiously - though her feet weren't used to the dry, crunchy pine-needles that littered the floor; so unlike her soft, damp territory. Surely, if she were close enough, someone would hear her. She wondered around until she thought she saw something, the shapes of two cats. With a small gasp, ducked behind a tree, still opting to peek out now and then, watching closely.

"I don't know.. Unfortunately I don't know the territory that well.. We just have to look until we find some herb of some kind, like feverfew, golden rod or something... We need to know where these things are for future purposes and we need to replace the dead leaves that didn't make the trip.." Honeyleaf responded to her apprentice. The golden she-cat began to move around the are checking next to trees and under some of the pine needles. "I am sure we might find something around here."

"Ah okay" she mewed, shifting through the undergrowth.

The calico's eyes widened a bit in curiosity. They were never clan cats that she had seen before, they they talked like them - actually, by the sound of it, they seemed to be medicine cats just like her. She thought about maybe approaching them, or going back and telling the clan what she saw, but her options were cut short when one of them turned their way. She took a step back and flinched at the sound of the crunchy leaves. So much for her stealth factor. Way to represent the clan, she thought bitterly. The medicine cat let out a silent sigh and put on a brave face. There was no way she was going to be caught hiding or fleeing. "If you want herbs like feverfew or goldenrod, you won't find them here." she mewed, stepping out a bit nervously to face the two strangers, staring them down. "Who are you? You're no WindClan cats..."

Honeyleaf froze at the sound of crunching pine straw and fear grew on her face when she saw the cat. She hadn't dealt with other clan cats before what would she do? When she heard the cat mention herbs the golden she-cat relaxed a little. "Uhh.. I.. I am Honeyleaf.. I am Skyclan's Medicine Cat and this is my apprentice, Silverpool."

Snapping her head up, Silverpool looked to the strange cat. After Honeyleaf answered her, she smiled awkwardly and mewed. "Hello" she gave a quick nod and sat.

Ebonyleaf narrowed her eyes and tilted her head to the side in confusion. "SkyClan?" the she-cat repeated in confusion. She knew very little about the fabled fifth clan. She knew that they used to live in the forest before disappearing one night, and she knew that Sagewhisker - the leader before Nightstar, had made an alliance with WindClan to split the land; although after he retired, WindClan had attacked them and taken the rest of the land for themselves. And it'd simply been that way since. She'd never heard of an actual cat of the trees still existing. "SkyClan disappeared long ago." she muttered her thoughts quietly, looking at the two supposed medicine cats with suspicion.

"We've come back for our land, and take our place in the forest. Or at least the warriors have. I am just here to make sure they are safe from harm." Honeyleaf gave a small unsure smile before frowning again. "Do you know what herbs I might find here?" The golden cat as taking a seat on her side of the border.

The calico she-cat flicked the tip of her tail, only tilting her head. The stranger's answer didn't hardly ease her curiosity. In fact, it only made her want to ask more questions. But if SkyClan had gone, where did they go? How could they come back? How many cats were there? And, for a few moments, Ebonyleaf wondered whether or not if it was even worth answering her about the herbs. "Then you're medicine cats too...?" She asked. If they were, she supposed there was no harm in helping them. Then, perhaps, she could talk to them more - and get some questions answered. "There's a few good patches of burdock nearby, but that's on my side of the border." She said simply, "There's also a good spot to find comfrey, but that's on your side..." She had gone to fetch herbs from there quite a few times. Normally, her scent would be long gone by the time WindClan would ever get around to patrolling the area, mixed with the sharp tang of her medicine and carried away by the forest. It wouldn't be so easily reached now, though, wouldn't it?
