Sleetpaw who was there the whole time sat at the back of the crowd. What Ebonyleaf said was weird but Sleetpaw was an apprentice and couldn't even begin to know what it could mean. Of course there was something big coming but what?

Dirtkit listened intently to Thrushstripe's words, although he didn't know the meaning of most of what he said. His attention was drawn out of his questioning thoughts by the voice of a cat who was said to be the 'medicine cat', or whatever that meant. What she had to say truly quipped his attention. It sounded rather odd to him, but, based on the looks he saw on other cats' faces, he knew that it was somewhat out of the ordinary. Perhaps I could learn more about that sort of thing?

Shadowpaw perked her ears when her mentor, Thrushstripe spoke. She looked down at her paws until she heard another unfamiliar cat spoke. She turned her head to look at the cat with her olive-green eyes. When the cat finished, she looks down at her paws again-- not sure of what to do next.
