| A tiny grey kit opened her green eyes for the first time. They sparkled like emeralds in the dark nursery. Her pupils adjusted to the lighting, then she stood up on shaky legs. Taking her first step, the kit padded slowly to the entrance. Slowly she peered out, then quickly became over-whelmed by the sight. There were cats everywhere! She scented the familiar musk of her clan that she had smelled on her mother, before she went missing. She took another step, almost running into a scurrying tom, who then disappeared into a small den, similar to hers. I knew the were cats here, but I didn't know there were this many! She was happy, surrounded by her clan, and content. | OOC: No one wants to join, so I guess i'm up
IC: Honeywhisker sat outside of the warrior's den, watching the little kit. A large smile grew on her face. This kit reminded her of someone, someone she loved. When she saw this kit, she was reminded of Midnightsky. When he was a kit, he was so happy, nothing could prepare him for what would happen next. She would have kept him away from her if she could go back. If she never became his mate, Coldpelt would still be alive right now. Honeywhisker couldn't forget that moment. Ever since her suicide, Midnightsky wasn't his usual happy self. She was sad too obviously, her best friend had just killed herself. It had been the three of them always, but she never knew she would do something like that. She shook her head, trying to get Coldpelt's final words out of her head. It was over, and she had to move on. Maybe this kit could help lift her spirits? ______________________________________ - Spoiler:

| Midnightsky walked backed into camp. He looked over to the tiny kit. He then remembered Coldpelt's death and he felt strange not to see her in camp with the others. He goes back to the gorge almost everyday, hoping that Coldpelt was still alive. The tiny kit reminded him that life goes on, it grows and dies, that's normal. But he could never shake the feeling deep inside him, he was the one responsible. He gave a sad sigh and padded away towards the fresh-kill  pile. ______________________________________  |

| Firekit stretched and yawned as she woke. She shook out her fur and looked around her. To her surprise, she was alone in the nursery. She quickly pushed herself to her paws and hurried to the nursery entrance. Her whiskers twitched as she stared at all the much bigger cats milling around outside. But they weren't what she was looking for. There! There they were! The other kits. She quickly padded towards them and sat back on her haunches. "Hi." | Streamkit was amazed. There were so many cats here! She was determined to get to know them all. "Hi, I'm Streamkit!" she mewed, "and I like warm hugs! how do you make a mossball?" she asked, perplexed, when another kit, with russet fur, padded up. She looked to be about Streamkit's age, but larger than her, as Streamkit was a very small kit.

| Streamkit noticed the dark grey warrior standing off to the side. To her, he looked ancient, although he was still a young warrior. She looked over at him, and he smiled at them. She turned her head back to the kits. "I know where we can get some really long moss to add to the ball!" she mewed, rushing back into the den, and returning with a trail of moss behind her. | Streamkit looked a bit upset for a moment, but shook it off and laughed as she stood up. After all, did it really matter? She was just a kit, and kits were expected to do dumb things. She could never be perfect, so why try? | Firekit jumped as the moss hit her square on the muzzle. She stood still for a moment, a spaced-out look in her eyes before turning to Streamkit with a dark look on her face. "Thanks." | Streamkit blinked at the other kit's rudeness, before catching the ball, and having her troubles dissolve in her shallow pool of emotion. She batted it around or a bit, before tossing it towards Yellowkit. She glanced back at Firekit, who still looked a bit moody. Why is she like that? I have to make her my friend. she thought, with all the unknowing resoluteness that comes with youth. Firekit forced herself to try to relax. You have to stop overreacting, they'll all hate you if you're mean. She shook her head and looked over at the little grey kit. Only to find that said kit was already watching her.
