| Riverkit slowly walked out in to the Windclan camp. She had never met any of the other clan cats besides the ones in the nursery and she was rather excited to meet every one else. With a yawn she stretched her legs and walked towards the center of the camp. The sight amazed her, this was her home forever. The ground was soft beneath her small paws, she could get used to this feeling. When looking around she only noticed two little dens, one was the nursery so that must be the elders den she thought. Riverkit sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws, she closed her eyes and soaked up the warmth of the sun. After a few minutes passed she opened her eyes and looked at all the busy cats wondering which one she should go pester.

| Owlpelt walked up to Riverkit and nodded a quick 'Hello', before walking away to get something from the fresh kill pile. After a few steps he turned around and tilted his head, pointing at the pile with his tail, as if asking her if she wanted something. ______________________________________  |

| Riverkit nodded a quick greeting to the warrior. She watched him approach the fresh kill pile and motion for her to take some. Riverkit stood up and walked up to the pile and looked at it. There was a nice rabbit that looked delicious, but far too big for her to eat on her own. She opted to pick up the smallest rabbit from the pile. "er...Thanks" she said to the warrior with the rabbit in her jaws. |

| Owlpelt nodded, before walking off into the shade to eat his meal.
Shadeheart walked up to Riverkit as soon as Owlpelt had left. "Hello Riverkit," she said, wincing a bit as she spoke. Her throat and face were hurting more and more as she got older; her scars had never quite healed since the fire so long ago. ______________________________________ |

| Riverkit tried to hide the shock on her face when she saw the new cat approaching. She knew that this was the medicine cat, but she had no idea what her name was. Riverkit dropped her rabbit "Hey..." she shuffled her paws nervously, she wanted to hear the story behind the scarring on the cats face but didn't was to be rude and ask. "You're the medicine cat right?" Riverkit mewed. |

| Shadeheart smiled. "Yes, I am the medicine cat," she purred. "My names Shadeheart by the way. Don't worry, most kits are afraid of my scar. A long time ago when I was just an apprentice, I was training to be a warrior at the time, there was a huge fire. I couldn't see the other cats leaving, and I swallowed some smoke and passed out. When I woke up I was in a barn, surrounded by the rest of WindClan. I was pretty badly injured though, as you can probably see. Our medicine cat at the time had gone missing, so there was noone to heal me. After I got my warrior name, I decided to become the medicine cat, so no other cats could suffer like I did," she croaked. ______________________________________ |

| Riverkit sat down to listen to the medicine cats story. She was amazed that Shadeheart was so brave. "Wow...but if the old medicine cat went missing who taught you about all the herbs?" she asked. Was it possible to just figure it out yourself? she wondered. Her ear twitched as she tried to think of ways that this cat could have learned everything and then it hit her. "Did Starclan teach you?" she mewed curiously. |

| Riverkit was amazed. She wanted to know everything about her ancestors. What was it like to talk to them? she wondered. The thought of all her warrior ancestors talking to her seemed overwhelming, she'd much rather just be a warrior and protect her clan. "Whats StarClan like?" She asked. |

| How could they know everything? Riverkit wondered. She looked down at her little rabbit in front of her paws and then back up to Shadeheart. "Would you like to share this rabbit with me?" She asked still a little curious about StarClan. |
