Hangin' in Camp

As the sun rose over the camp, a kit stirred in the nursery. Sunkit awoke to the sun peeping into the nursery, his golden fur glinting. The young tom stood up from the nest, stretched the sleep from his bones and yawned. Then he looked out of the entrance, his eyes adjusting to the light. An excitement grew in him so he quickly groomed over his fur then charged out of the nursery. But he felt very embarrassed as he ran into someone in the camp clearing.

Stormclaw quickly finished his fish and looked around camp. He could make some repairs, or make the walls stronger. As he sat up to go do so, something rammed into his side. He fixed a cold gaze in the objects direction before noticing it was a kit. His gaze softened before crouching down slightly and nudging the kit back up. "Well hello there kit, whats your name." he mewed, ignoring the fact that he had just run into him.

The kit yelped as he rolled onto his back, but bounced back up again, with the help of the tom of course. He looked back and forth before noticing the cat was behind him. With a swift move of his paws, he turned around and looked at the tom. A bright, kit-like energy glowed in his eyes as he answered, "Oh, oh! Uh...I'm sorry! Oh! I'm Sunkit! Who are you! I mean, uh...what's your name!" The kit's excitement, quite frankly, couldn't go unnoticed.

"I'm Stormclaw. Nice to meet you Sunkit." he mewed to the kit before looking to the freshkill pile. He quickly padded over and grabbed a smaller fish and brought it to the kit. "You hungry?" he set the fish down in front of Sunkit before laying down himself.

Sunkit was thrown into deep thought, processing the name into his mind. Stormclaw, Stormclaw, Stormclaw... he said in his tiny mind, drilling in into his brain.  But he was a little confused as Stormclaw walked away for a moment, and he himself was about to go when the bigger tom brought back a small thing. Then Sunkit bounced up and down a little, "Oh! Is this a...a...umm," he paused as he tried to remember what the queens had told them this was, "Oh! A fish! These are very yummy! Thank you!" The kits tail flicked in his excitement as he squealed happily then pounced on the small scaly creature, digging his tiny, but sharp, kitten teeth into its flesh.

Stormclaw purred and watched the kit bite into the small fish before closing his eyes, waiting for the kit to finish. He let the warm sun bath his pelt in light as he relaxed. It was hard to relax anymore, he was getting more involved with his clan and clanmates, it was hard not to get caught up in something.

OOC: I'm sure it is XD All my characters are either, warriors or apprentices.

After a few minutes Sunkit finished the small creature and was about to say something when he noticed Stormclaw's eyes were shut. A mischievous grin slid onto his muzzle as he, as silently as possible, crept behind the bigger cat. He crouched down his hind-end wagging in the air as he small tail flicked, almost whimpering in excitement. Then he squealed loudly, pouncing onto the toms back. Sunkit laughed a high-pitched kit laugh as he gently bit on the toms ear.

Stormclaw jolted from his dazed state before realizing that it was only Sunkit. He grinned and stood up, almost shaking off the kit. He started the bound around camp, carrying the kit which was still attached to him. He saw the moss pile the apprentice had made for bedding and stopped short of it, feeling the kit fly off him and land in the soft moss. "Ha! You couldn't stay on forever" he declared.

The kit squealed in delight as the tom ran around camp, his claws holding on as if his life depended on it. But he was caught off guard as he felt himself fly off, this time he yelled in fright until he felt the moss under him. Sunkit sighed in relief, but jumped up quickly, moss clinging to his unsheathed claws. A laugh escaped him with a purr hidden in it, but he quickly dashed under the tom and popped out the other side, swatting at his tail.

He swished his tail, making the kit chase it. Raising it up and down so he had to jump for it. Stormclaw continued to move throughout camp, letting the kit chase his tail. He didn't care who else saw, he was having fun with a kit, and he loved kits.

Sunkit jumped up, swiped and leapt for Stormclaws tail as they made their way through the camp. Once or twice he would catch it, but only would get a hair or two before the tail was swiped up again. After a few minutes of this, an idea popped into his head. Suddenly, instead of jumping for Stormclaws tail, he leapt up onto the toms back. He held on with his back claws as he balanced himself out. After he caught his balance he leapt for the tail, pinning it to the ground. Then he purred, "Ha! I caught it!"

"Nice job." he mewed before pulling his tail from underneath the kit. Stormclaw layed down and put his head and paws on the kit. "Oh you make me so tired!" he cried, acting dramatic for the kit. He smothered Sunkit as he groaned.

Sunkit purred in pride, then let the tail slip from his claws. But yelped as he was laid on, pretending to choke. As Stormclaw laid his head on the kit he huffed, gasping in small breaths. Then he screamed as loudly as he could, which wasn't very loud right now, "Ok! Ok! I cant breathe! Get not tired!" Then he bit one of Stromclaws paws, but with such weak jaws he couldn't do much damage to the big tom.

"Oh my, you've killed me" he groaned flipping off of the kit. He closed his eyes and twitched before going still and sighing. He peaked an eye open and Sunkit before closing it again.
