Beepaw and Silverpaw's Warrior Ceremonies

"All cats old enough to swim gather to hear my words!" Reedstar yowled. His gaze scanned the newly rebuilt camp with sadness as he waited for the Clan to congregate. Debris still scattered the camp floor and the soil underpaw was conspicuously damp still. An apprentice and many warriors had been lost that night, but those who survived and remained had proven themselves worthy of warrior names a hundred times over in how they handled the situation. I would give them all a ceremony if I could.

Silverpaw padded to so sit near the from , her silver and gray striped fur was slicked back and groomed well. She smiled looking at Reedstar with icy blue eyes.

Beepaw walked carefully up to the front, picking his paws up as the soil sucked them down, still damp from the floods. Finding the driest spot he could, he sat down, close but not directly beside Silverpaw. He looked up at Reedstar and waited for him to begin.

"I, Reedstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. Beepaw, Silverpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your lives?"

Beewhisker seemed to stand a bit taller. Finally, finally he was a full-fledged warrior. He withheld a purr of pride in himself as he nodded to Reedstar, silently thanking him for the name and his trust.
