"All cats old enough to swim gather for a Clan meeting!" Reedstar yowled. The nursery had been filling up the last few moons, so it would be good to get more apprentices and helping paws around camp before Leafbare arrived.

Stormpaw padded into the clearing. He sat, listening to Reedstar. 'Maybe some more apprentices? Hope it doesn't get too crowded in the den. But i'll soon get out of there.'

Young...ish Leafstream walked to the camp, and sat down patiently. She still had to finish her own apprentices' training, but maybe today would be a surprise. Watching curiously for the excited kits, she flicked her ear in anticipation, hoping to get this somewhat done.

Silverpaw, on the other hand, sat shyly, hopefully far away from everyone. More den mates? Really? The only thing the kit wanted to do was to have the comfort of Lichenpaw by her, as the medicine cat apprentice was really the only friend she had.

Stormkit padded proudly out of the Nursery, head high and tail tip flicking happily out of excitement which she could not obtain. Right behind her came her sister, Hailkit, her fur neatly groomed and her eyes bright with that same excitement within Stormkit.

Minnowkit prowled out of the nursery behind Hailkit, trying to contain his excitement under his shyness. His silver pelt shimmered as he moved, in the light his white splash on his forehead stood out like a fire-fly.
Minnowkit came to sit down in the crowd, wishing his mother and father were here.~But they are here, just rather high in the sky~ he thought to himself.

"The three of you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed." Reedstar mewed as the three kits gathered. "From this day on, until you all receive your warrior names, you will be known as Minnowpaw, Stormpaw, and Hailpaw. Minnowpaw, you will be mentored by Littlelight as his first apprentice. I trust he will pass on everything he knows onto you. Hailpaw and Stormpaw, I will train you." The leader jumped down and touched noses with both of his new apprentices. It was unusual to take more than one apprentice at a time, but he thought they might be more comfortable training together, as siblings. "I welcome you three as apprentices of RiverClan."

Stormkit and Hailkit glanced happily at each other. They had the same mentor, and he was the leader no less! Could it get any better?
The silver tabby was a paw-step ahead of her silky white sister as always as they stepped up to press their noses in turn to their new mentor.
