Mass ShadowClan Apprentice Training: Partol

Nightstar sat quietly at the entrance to camp, her fur was neatly groomed so it caught the silver light of the moon. Her eyes watching the apprentice's den passively. She had announced to the apprentices the day before that there would be a huge boarder patrol for the apprentices who needed it.

As the leader waited for the apprentices to waken from their slumber, Nightstar's eyes drifted towards where the fireflies started to appear. They appeared one place, then disappeared. Then appeared another place. Weird bugs, fireflies could be.

Silverpaw padded out of the warriors' den, ready to start her first border patrol. Excited, she mewed, "Hi, Nightstar! I'm ready to start." She sat down near her mentor to wait for the other apprentices.

~Wait, even the ones that aren't your apprentices?~

Shadepaw bounded up to Silverpaw and Nightstar. "I'm here," he panted, then shook himself out, and rolled his shoulders, powerful muscles rippling smoothly under his black pelt. "What are you we doing to day, Nightstar?" His amber gaze raked around the camp. "Are anybody else coming?"

Nightcloud came padding up to the group, a soft smile on her face as she dipped her head to Nightstar. "Do you mind if me and Lionpaw join you?" she asked, before glancing around the camp. "Well, as soon as Lionpaw gets here of course."

Lionpaw bounded out quickly after his brother. "What's going on? Oh, hi Nightstar, Nightcloud, and Silverpaw. Whatcha guys doing?" He bounced up and down. "Oh! Are you going on a patrol? Can I join you? Please please please please? I'm so BORED out of my mind, I need something exciting!"

Silverpaw beamed. "Yeah! Nightcloud was just talking about you joining."

Bramblepaw padded out of the apprentices den ready for a patrol. She padded over to the others.

"Hi, Bramblepaw," Silverpaw mewed. Silverpaw didn't know Bramblepaw very well, but she liked making friends.

"Hi Silverpaw..right"Bramblepaw mewed looking at her.

Nightstar looked around at the gathered crowd. Nodding to herself that it was all of the apprentices, the leader rose to her paws. Thus, drawing all of the attention to the leader. "In case you didn't hear me yesterday, we will be going on patrol and showing you the limits of our territory." Nightstar looked over the group then turned towards the entrance to camp. Beckoning the others to follow, Nightstar set the pace out of camp. Her paw steps stepped softly on the soggy ground.

Bramblepaw followed silent. She looked around ever so often with her blue eyes.

Silverpaw looked around, fascinated. I never knew our territory was so large!

And then Redpaw appeared, causing a time-paradox that no one gives a sh*t about.

Maplekit followed her brother, looking around slightly.

Soon enough, the large group of cats had arrived at their old border with SkyClan. The territory beyond used to be their land, when WindClan came and snatched it away. 'It beats me how could a clan keep up that much territory. Yet alone USE it.' Nightstar's blue eyes narrowed as she halted to a stop right at the edge of the territory. 'And they call US greedy.'

"This is the border we share with WindClan. The we are down wind from them, so you should be able to catch their scent. If you can't pick it out, it smells of rabbit, grass and heather."
